Kon Tum City organizes dugout canoe racing tournament

The 2025 Kon Tum City Dugout Canoe Race brings together 56 athletes with 31 racing boats from 12 communes and wards in Kon Tum City.

According to the tournament format, the racing teams compete in two distances, 400m and 1,000m.

After the exciting and dramatic boat racing competitions, the athlete pair A Bai-A Ky (Kroong commune team, Kon Tum city) won the Gold Medal in the 400m distance and the athlete pair A Khanh-A Vi (Kroong commune team, Kon Tum city) won the Gold Medal in the 1,000m distance.

The Kon Tum City Canoe Race 2025 is a traditional sport activity, held within the framework of the 8th Kon Tum City Sports Festival in 2025. This is an opportunity for canoe racers to meet, exchange, preserve and develop national sports, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere at the beginning of the new year. At the same time, it contributes to promoting to the people and potential tourists the economic, cultural and tourism development strengths of Kon Tum City and the peaceful and poetic natural scenery of the Dak Bla River.
