Tet flight ticket prices increase
Although Tet is still nearly 3 months away, airfares have doubled compared to normal days. The price difference is about 800,000 VND to 1.2 million VND per ticket, according to Tien Phong newspaper.
Specifically, on the Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi route, Vietnam Airlines, Vietravel Airlines, and Bamboo Airways have round-trip ticket prices ranging from 6.8 to 7.3 million VND.
For the flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Quy Nhon, the cheapest ticket price is 5.5 million VND by Vietjet Air, Vietravel Airlines, Bamboo Airways and the highest is 10 million VND if flying with Vietnam Airlines.
For the HCMC - Thanh Hoa route, the cheapest round-trip ticket is 7.3 million VND with Vietjet Air and 10 million VND if flying with Vietnam Airlines.
iPhone 11 reduced by more than 13 million
The iPhone 11 used to be a high-end iPhone that was sought after by users. But now, the iPhone 11 has a fairly cheap price.
According to a survey by PV Doi Song Phap Luat at some official authorized dealers of Apple, the price of iPhone 11 in November is extremely low.
Currently, the 64GB iPhone 11 is still available at many retail systems and is being sold at prices ranging from VND 8.49-8.99 million. Meanwhile, the 128GB iPhone 11 is being sold at VND 10 million (about VND 1 million lower than at the beginning of 2024).
Compared to the listed price when it was first launched at 21.99 million VND for the 64GB version and 23.99 million VND for the 128GB version, the price of the iPhone 11 has decreased by 13-13.5 million VND.
Shocked by the price of Chinese grapes at the wholesale market
Chinese grapes are always the cheapest compared to similar products imported from other countries. Many people are shocked to know the price of imported grapes offered at wholesale markets.
Many dealers sell milk grapes by the crate for only 22,000 VND/kg. If you import more than 100 crates at a time, the wholesale price drops to 18,000 VND/kg.
A wholesaler of Ruby grapes in Lao Cai offers wholesale prices of 99,000 VND/5kg box for customers buying by the truckload, 100 boxes or more for 109,000 VND/box, and 10 boxes or more for 120,000 VND/box. That means the wholesale price of grapes ranges from 20,000-24,000 VND/kg.
At the online wholesale market, Chinese candied grapes are sold wholesale for only 25,000-30,000 VND/kg depending on the type. (See details )
Binh Thuan dragon fruit price drops to 2,000 VND/kg
From a price of more than 20,000 VND/kg at the beginning of the season, the price of off-season dragon fruit is now dropping "shockingly", only 1/10, making farmers nervous.
On November 9, many dragon fruit growers in Binh Thuan province told Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper that the purchase price of dragon fruit is very low. Accordingly, although it is produced in the off-season, the price of this fruit is only paid by traders at 2,000-3,000 VND/kg.
If you negotiate to buy at the garden, traders will only take fruits weighing 0.5kg or more, free of disease, the price will be from 4,000-5,000 VND/kg. However, if you choose this way of selling, the number of substandard ripe dragon fruits left in the garden is often more than half of the total number of fruits.
According to the Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Association, most of the local dragon fruit is exported to the Chinese market through unofficial channels. However, in recent months, this market has been slow in consuming, affecting dragon fruit products.
Rice prices hit rock bottom, Vietnam increases imports 3.3 times
Vietnam is boosting rice imports as world prices for the commodity plummet.
Last October, our country exported 0.8 million tons of rice, earning 505 million USD. Compared to the same month last year, the volume of exported rice increased by 29% and the value increased by 27.2%.
However, Vietnam's rice imports have also increased sharply. In the past 10 months, Vietnamese businesses have spent nearly 1.2 billion USD to import this item, an increase of 72.9% compared to the same period last year.
Notably, in October 2024 alone, the value of rice imports jumped to 148 million USD, an increase of 225%, equivalent to nearly 3.3 times compared to October 2023. (See details)
