(Dan Tri) - 30 million VND is just the amount of money to buy tickets to see the show, not to mention the mental and material losses that more than 200 Vietnamese fans are facing.

Ngoc Nguyen (27 years old, Ho Chi Minh City) had two sleepless nights before leaving for Singapore to attend the concert of singer Taylor Swift on March 7. Ngoc had no sleep because she was too excited to meet her idol. She was devastated because she had put her trust in a website that specializes in buying tickets for her and had not received a response even though the show date was approaching. According to Dan Tri reporter's investigation, not only Ngoc Nguyen, more than 200 other fans are also facing the same situation. On March 4, dozens of people shared their stories with the hope that the ticket supplier would take positive action and that fans would soon be properly compensated. Taylor Swift's 6 shows from March 2 to March 9 in the Lion Island are one of the most watched events at the moment. The singer's appeal makes many Vietnamese fans not hesitate to spend a lot of money to breathe the same air as her. The "demand" is so great that owning a ticket is no longer easy, even for "die-hard" fans. Unable to get tickets, fans have to rely on intermediaries, willing to accept prices 2-3 times higher. After checking the reputation of SG - a website specializing in selling music show tickets, Danh (HCMC) decided to order two VIP 2 tickets for 34 million VND. Because he put all his trust in her, Danh transferred 100%. When the day of the show was near, Danh was shocked to receive news that the tickets were canceled. The reason given by the seller was that the organizer automatically canceled the tickets.

"I trusted this site because many people recommended it as a scam. For many days, SG has not responded to my messages or stated a time for refund. What makes me even more confused is that TKV (the owner of the ticket selling site) only noted the amount of 30 million VND, while I have paid 34 million VND. Until now, I still can't believe that the money I have saved for so long is at risk of being lost. I can't sleep. But luckily, I planned to go to the show on March 8 so I had time to buy another ticket," Danh shared. Because of the word "trust", many people are currently disappointed like Danh. Before the incident, they still believed 100% because SG posted an announcement, promising to have tickets. In case the right class of ticket is not available, they will give a lower class, then refund and pay an additional 10% after the shows. Hoang Anh (HCMC) said: "As of February 27, I had transferred 13.3 million VND to them for 3 CAT 6 tickets. From that time until the site owner announced that the tickets were canceled, I did not receive any information. I had to proactively text many times before the seller replied firmly that "there will be tickets", "the tickets have been exchanged for e-tickets (electronic tickets)". My suspicions reached their peak, I asked many other buyers and learned that the site owner answered the same to everyone. The rate of tickets this person issued until March 2 was very low (statistics show that 6/100 tickets could enter the gate). After being asked for a refund, this person tried to prolong the time and apologized".

"The owner of the page is currently hiding and has not provided any evidence. All the information that everyone has gathered shows that this person is short of more than 2 billion VND to be able to return to the victims. This person is just stalling for time, making promises and only making promises," Linh - a girl who is depressed because she has not received any response from SG - said in despair. Currently, the "unlucky" Swifties (Taylor Swift fans) are gathering all the evidence to ask for the intervention of the authorities. After the scandal broke out, SG continuously posted apologies and promised compensation. However, customers could not stop being suspicious because they wondered where the money they had transferred went. People were anxious because they wanted to receive specific handling instructions to calculate the next plan. The page owner wrote: "I was too stubborn to think that I would have tickets in hand and then disappoint you guys. I realized that I was not mature and professional enough to receive unnecessary consequences. I should have informed you guys sooner so that there would be a better solution now." Because of the ambiguity and continuous posting of apologies by the ticket selling page owner, the victims were even more confused, especially as the show was approaching. Meanwhile, fans had also paid a lot of money for plane tickets and hotels...

Upon receiving information from customers, reporters quickly contacted the ticket sales site owner but received no response. According to many victims, it is difficult to contact them, not to mention the intervention of outsiders. Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, HN - who specializes in buying tickets for music and football shows - said: "In fact, the organizers cancel tickets. That is in cases where they realize that the account is not reputable or there are some errors. However, from the perspective of a reputable ticket seller, they must ensure the rights of customers. Moreover, when the organizers cancel tickets, they must also have a clear announcement. So why don't the ticket sales site post this specific information to make customers feel more secure, to avoid them being confused about their money? When the ticket is definitely canceled, they must refund immediately, as quickly as the customer has trusted and transferred 100%". Out of frustration, many victims (including famous content creators) posted articles denouncing this ticket selling site on various platforms. And this method has been somewhat effective. Some people have received compensation from the site owner. When arriving at the stadium, some victims were also able to exchange their tickets for higher or lower classes. However, that is only a small number. "The site owner acts very sophisticatedly when compensating those who make a big deal out of it on social media. As for ordinary victims like me, this person has not made any move to appease them. Furthermore, the site owner only issued a self-written notice, without any solid evidence, we also have the right to suspect that this person kept the tickets and sold them to other customers at a higher price," Hong Thai (25 years old, Hanoi) expressed his indignation. For some victims, no amount of compensation can compare to the mental damage they have suffered in the past days. When the excitement of preparing their fancy costumes, their excitement of meeting Taylor Swift in the Lion Island suddenly turned into fear. Chi Chi (24 years old, Ho Chi Minh City) tried to save and saved more than 30 million VND for the trip to Singapore to meet her idol "in the flesh". She has loved Taylor Swift since she was in middle school and could not hide her excitement from her parents when she was about to meet the female singer. But when the ticket was canceled and she had not received compensation, Chi did not dare tell her parents for fear that they would worry. She tossed and turned all night thinking about the money she had worked so hard to earn. She thought that without tickets to the show, booking a plane ticket or hotel would be meaningless. Despite her sadness, Chi still tried to think of a way to meet her idol. She started to seek help from fan clubs on many groups. Finally, she was lucky when some friends helped her buy tickets. Meanwhile, some others said that they still flew as scheduled and wandered around the stadium looking for tickets. As for Danh, he spent another 50 million VND to buy back the VIP 2 tickets. This means that Danh spent 84 million VND on show tickets (including the 34 million VND he bought last time and has not received back).
