Thousands of tourists attend Phu Day Festival in the year of At Ty 2025

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Ha Lan Anh, Vice Chairwoman of Nam Dinh Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that Nam Dinh is the cradle of the worship of the Mother Goddesses of the Three Palaces, an intangible cultural heritage of humanity recognized by UNESCO. Phu Day Festival is not only an opportunity to honor and preserve the value of heritage, but also to promote spiritual tourism, spreading the beauty of traditional culture strongly.

Phu Day Festival brings together the unique cultural and religious values ​​of the rice farmers in the Northern Delta. This place is famous for its Chau Van - Hau Dong ritual, a unique feature of the Mother Goddess religion, attracting the attention of many locals and international tourists.

Every year, the Phu Day relic complex with more than 20 temples, pagodas, shrines and mausoleums worshipping the Holy Mother Lieu Hanh - the head deity in the Mother Goddess worship of the Three Palaces and Four Palaces - welcomes tens of thousands of pilgrims. The Holy Mother Lieu Hanh is honored as one of the "Four Immortals" in Vietnamese folk beliefs, symbolizing protection and blessing for all people.

This year's festival takes place from March 31 to April 5 (ie March 3-8 of the lunar calendar) with a series of rich activities such as the Chau Van singing festival, the Mau Thinh Kinh procession from Phu Van Cat to Linh Son Tu pagoda, the solemn torch procession at Phu Tien Huong, human chess competition, flower pulling, word arrangement...

According to Mr. Do Van Ky, Vice Chairman of Vu Ban District People's Committee, Head of the Festival Organizing Committee, this year, the work of ensuring security and order has been given special attention. The Organizing Committee has implemented many strict control measures, strictly handling negative behaviors such as superstition, disguised gambling or "price gouging" services.

In addition, relic management units are also required to organize festivals in a civilized manner, respecting traditional customs.

Phu Day Festival is not only a place for spiritual connection but also a unique cultural destination, contributing to preserving and promoting the value of national heritage. This promises to be an ideal meeting place for domestic and foreign tourists this festival season.
