Merging Quang Binh Newspaper with Radio and Television Station under the Converged Newsroom model

After the merger, Quang Binh Newspaper and Radio and Television Station will be responsible for all types of journalism including print, electronic, radio and television, operating under the Converged Newsroom model to optimize resources and improve the quality of information and propaganda. The merger will be completed in April 2025.

The new agency headquarters will be located at Quang Binh Newspaper and the second facility will be maintained at Quang Binh Radio and Television Station.

Along with the merger of two press units, Quang Binh province also decided to transfer the functions and tasks of the Provincial People's Committee's Electronic Information Portal, the Provincial Party Committee's Electronic Information Portal, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and People's Council's Electronic Information Page to be directly under the Quang Binh Newspaper and Radio - Television Station.

The new agency is directly under the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, acting as the mouthpiece of the Party Committee, government and people of the province.

The total staff assigned in 2025 is 160 people, with 1 Director and 3-4 Deputy Directors. It is expected that the number of specialized departments will be streamlined, reduced by 50% compared to before the merger, contributing to improving operational efficiency.

Quang Binh Provincial Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang emphasized that the merger of Quang Binh Newspaper and the provincial Radio and Television Station is part of the roadmap to streamline the province's political system. In the coming time, the province will continue to implement the policy of merging commune-level administrative units and building a two-level local government model, in accordance with the merger roadmap according to the guidance of the Central Government.
