But from November, Sa Pa enters the most special season of the year - the cloud season - a specialty that creates a majestic and poetic beauty that is rarely found anywhere else.

Mr. To Ba Hieu - Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Province Tourism Association said: "The Famtrip 'Touch Sa Pa, touch the clouds' is an opportunity for us to invite tourists to explore the beauty of Sa Pa in this special season, with familiar destinations such as Cat Cat village, May village, Fansipan..., but wearing a new coat with unique experiences only available in the Northwest highlands".

In fact, tourists can hunt clouds all four seasons in Sa Pa. However, from about November to March of the following year is the most beautiful time for clouds, because the low temperature, combined with high humidity, makes the clouds more numerous and thicker. From Fansipan - the highest mountain in Indochina, tourists will see a sea of clouds floating around the Hoang Lien range, as beautiful as a fairyland.

Besides Fansipan, tourists also have many ideal cloud hunting spots in Sa Pa such as O Quy Ho Pass, Hang Da Village, Sau Chua Village, Heaven Gate...

Participate in a series of festivals and cultural experiences only available in the highlands

Also from November, a series of festivals, events and exciting experiences will be held in Sa Pa, where visitors will experience new emotions only found in the highlands. The stone lotus flower festival, which will take place until the end of 2024 at the Sun World Fansipan Legend tourist area, is the opening event for this series of tourism stimulus programs.

Here, visitors will admire thousands of succulent plants with 50 unique species such as pink succulents, glitter pebble succulents, snow succulents, pearl string succulents, orange-yellow succulents, cabbage succulents, Sa Pa green succulents, butterfly succulents, cherry succulents... Right at the Fansipan cable car station, visitors will not be able to take their eyes off the uniquely designed "stupa" of succulents with 3,143 Sa Pa green succulents, symbolizing Fansipan peak - the roof of Indochina.

In addition to the stone lotus flower festival, according to Mr. Do Van Tan - Vice Chairman of Sa Pa Town People's Committee, a series of winter festivals and attractive events will be continuously held from now until the end of the year in Sa Pa such as: Cherry Blossom Festival taking place at O Long tea hill (O Quy Ho); Festival at Ban May, Fansipan cable car station; International Mountain Marathon (from November 28 to December 1, 2024); Sports tourism activities to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the founding of Sa Pa Party Committee; In particular, the New Year's Eve art night 2025 will bring a vibrant Tet atmosphere with a carefully prepared and grand Countdown event, promising an exciting new year to Sa Pa town. On this occasion, Sa Pa town is also preparing a cultural space with the most typical features of ethnic minorities so that visitors can have more authentic and vivid experiences.
