Tourism and aviation should be the focus of Vietnam cooperation

On December 16 in Hanoi, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) Phan Anh Son received a delegation of the Nepal Peace and Solidarity Council (NPSC) led by Mr. Rabindra Adhikari, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Nepal Unified Marxist-Leninist (CPN-UML), Chairman of the Nepal Peace and Solidarity Council.

According to Mr. Phan Anh Son, NPSC and Vietnam share a common vision on development, ideology, communism and socialism. Believing that people-to-people diplomacy is an important foundation for bilateral relations, Mr. Phan Anh Son wishes to enhance people-to-people exchange activities between Vietnam and Nepal. VUFO, Vietnam - Nepal Friendship Association It is necessary to strengthen connections with Nepalese partners, especially NPSC, to achieve practical cooperation.

The two sides need to propose cooperation between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and its Nepalese counterpart, thereby increasing the number of Vietnamese people choosing Nepal as a tourist destination. The two sides need to propose opening diplomatic representative agencies in the territories of Vietnam and Nepal.

Mr. Rabindra Adhikari said: Nepalese people admire President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam's struggle for independence; building and developing the country. The Chairman of the Peace and Solidarity Council of Nepal wishes to promote the relationship between the two countries through opening direct flights; promoting tourism cooperation, especially religious tourism; and strengthening investment and trade relations.

The two sides agreed to continue exchanging information and discussing specific cooperation plans and activities to enhance people-to-people exchange between Vietnam and Nepal.

On the same day, the delegation of the Nepal Peace and Solidarity Council had a working session with Mr. Nguyen Trong Kien, Director of the Southeast Asia - South Asia - South Pacific Department, Central Foreign Affairs Commission. The two sides discussed the situation of the two Parties and the potential for cooperation to further strengthen the Vietnam - Nepal relationship in the coming time.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Kien said: The Communist Party of Vietnam attaches importance to its relationship with the Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist-Leninist Unified Party) and the Party's role and position in Nepal's political arena. He hopes to increase cooperation activities and delegation exchanges, thereby enhancing mutual understanding and trust between the two Parties.

According to Mr. Rabindra Adhikari, Vietnam and Nepal are far apart geographically but close in ideals and viewpoints. He hopes to strengthen cooperation and information exchange with the Communist Party of Vietnam, thereby promoting tourism, trade investment; promoting the opening of direct flights and diplomatic representative offices in the two countries.
