On the afternoon of January 31 (the 3rd day of Tet), in the area of Bai Truoc, Bai Sau and on Tran Phu, Ha Long, Thuy Van streets, there were many vehicles from other provinces and cities pouring into Vung Tau City (Lao Ria-Vung Tau province). As the afternoon progressed, the number of visitors increased, causing congestion on many roads, forcing vehicles to move slowly.
On the morning of the 3rd day of Tet, the number of visitors to Hon Ba was higher than the previous days.
Although the weather in the afternoon was cold and the waves were strong, there were still many tourists playing and swimming in the sea. Ms. Nguyen Hong Nhung (a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) said: "Although we knew it would be crowded during this time, because it was close to Ho Chi Minh City, the travel time was short, and the sea was clean and beautiful, my family chose Vung Tau to let our children experience and have fun during Tet."

On Thuy Van Street - the place that receives the most visitors in the province, although the locality is renovating and fencing off more than 3 km of coastline, the investor still arranges paths down to the sea for tourists to conveniently swim.
In other localities such as Xuyen Moc district, Long Dat, Ba Ria city... the number of visitors also increased compared to the first days.
According to the Department of Tourism, on the third day of Tet, security and order were relatively stable, and the number of tourists visiting the province for sightseeing and vacation was better than on the first and second days of Tet. It is forecasted that the number of visitors will increase in the coming days.
The afternoon from Ho Chi Minh City to Vung Tau is very crowded.
According to statistics, on the 3rd day of Tet, there were about 228,702 visitors visiting, entertaining, and staying at hotels, tourist areas, and beaches in the province.
This number of visitors increased by 38.7% compared to the Lunar New Year 2024. Of which, the number of overnight visitors was about 137,000. Revenue on the 3rd day reached more than 210 billion VND, an increase of nearly 141% over the same period last year.
Vehicles must move slowly.
In Vung Tau City, according to the Vung Tau City Tourist Management and Support Center (Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province), from January 27 to 31 (December 28 of the lunar calendar to the 3rd day of Tet), an estimated 91,800 people went swimming. On January 31 alone (the 3rd day of Tet), an estimated 51,000 visitors were served.
To ensure that tourists can have fun and swim in the sea, before Tet, the Department of Tourism organized direct work with key tourism districts and cities to grasp the local preparations for welcoming and serving tourists.
The beach is quite crowded with tourists playing and swimming.
Localities have developed specific plans to ensure security, order, safety and security for tourists. They have been deployed to local departments and agencies to implement the spirit of the proposed plans.
