DRC honored in the top 10 Golden Stars of Vietnam

Surpassing nearly 300 enterprises, Danang Rubber (DRC) is in the top 10 Golden Stars of Vietnam 2024 along with many other major Vietnamese brands such as FPT, PNJ, VIMC..., marking the first mark of a Central enterprise in the top honor list.

On December 24, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association held the Vietnam Golden Star Award Ceremony 2024 to honor the Top 10/ Top 100/ Top 200 outstanding brands. Including this year's award ceremony, the Vietnam Golden Star Award has voted and honored 2,527 outstanding Vietnamese brands and products, contributing to encouraging and motivating businesses to promote production and business development to fulfill social and community responsibilities.

In 2024, the award will be presented to 200 enterprises with total assets in 2024 reaching 8 million billion VND. These enterprises generated revenue in 2023 of 799 trillion VND, profit of 115 trillion VND, paid 65 trillion VND to the budget and created jobs for 405 thousand workers. The Top 10 Golden Stars of Vietnam 2024 alone had total assets in 2023 of nearly 2.5 million billion VND, revenue in 2023 of 230 trillion VND, profit of 36.5 trillion VND, paid 19 trillion VND to the budget and created jobs for 106 thousand workers.

Surpassing 293 enterprises applying for the 2024 Vietnam Golden Star Award, Danang Rubber Joint Stock Company (DRC) is in the Top 10 honored enterprises. Along with DRC, other major Vietnamese brands gathered in the top 10 honor list, including FPT, PNJ, BIDV, Tan A Dai Thanh, Traphaco, BIDV, Kido, Stavian Chemicals, Vietnam National Shipping Lines. DRC's presence in the Top 10 not only affirms the position of the enterprise but also marks the first time a company in the Central region has achieved this achievement in 21 years since the award was launched.

“Being honored in the Top 10 Golden Stars of Vietnam in 2024 is a great honor for DRC, recognizing our persistent efforts in developing and ensuring continuous growth over the years as well as affirming the reputation of the leading tire manufacturer in Vietnam”, Mr. Le Hoang Khanh Nhut - General Director of DRC shared.

Established on December 25, 1975 on the basis of taking over the old regime's tire retreading factory, this tire company has had a journey of nearly 50 years "Conquering all roads" bringing DRC tire products to all 63 provinces and cities through a system of more than 2,000 level 1 and 2 distributors. Not only that, the company also exports to more than 50 countries, conquering even "difficult" markets such as the US, Europe, Japan, Brazil, Korea... in a variety of different product lines.

According to General Director Le Hoang Khanh Nhut, receiving the Vietnam Gold Star Award on the eve of the 49th anniversary of its establishment is a memorable milestone. At the same time, this is also a great motivation, arousing the determination of all DRC staff to make more efforts together to move forward towards the milestone of celebrating 50 years of operation.

It is expected that in the first quarter of 2025, DRC will officially launch the DriveForce brand of passenger car and small car tires in the domestic market, after successfully exporting to the American market including the US and Brazil. This is also the main product that DRC has brought to the world's largest auto exhibition SEMA Show in the past two years, attracting the attention of experts and global customers.

DRC's DriveForce car tires are about to launch in the Vietnamese market

The domestic passenger car and small car tire market is currently quite fragmented with fierce competition from dozens of brands such as Michelin, Bridgestone, Goodyear, Dunlop... However, with proven capacity when DRC's tire products are well received in demanding export markets, DRC has been evaluated in terms of product quality and suitability, thereby serving as a basis for building a methodical competitive strategy.

The return of the DriveForce brand tire line to its “home turf” is an important step for DRC to help diversify its products, promptly meet market demand and cover all segments in the domestic market. Being honored in the Top 10 Golden Stars of Vietnam will be the motivation for DRC to continue to conquer greater achievements in the future, affirming the Vietnamese brand on the world map.
