Important test

After nearly 3 months of training, the new soldiers of 4 battalions under Division 324, including Battalions 14, 15, 16 and Battalion 17, participated in the final test of the following contents: Shooting AK submachine guns, lesson 1, hidden and visible targets during the day; throwing grenades at long range and hitting targets; and setting off explosives.

The 324th Division's training ground on the scorching hot days of May. The light winds of early summer, although not yet carrying the "specialty" of Lao wind, were enough to make the training ground as hot as a frying pan. Despite the harsh weather, when we arrived here, we witnessed the "military training" spirit and the high determination of the unit's officers and soldiers. Throughout the training ground, banners, slogans, and flags were jubilant and brilliant. The slogans "Overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain, practicing enthusiastically", "Calm, confident, determined to achieve excellence, absolute safety", "Sweating on the training ground, bleeding less on the battlefield"... seemed to urge the officers and soldiers to overcome difficulties, competing to achieve high results in the "3 explosions" test. The commander's orders through the loudspeaker were loud and decisive; the sound of guns, explosives, and grenades reverberated in the space filled with the thick smell of gunpowder, making the "battle" atmosphere even more bustling.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Pham Le Tuan, Deputy Division Commander, Chief of Staff of Division 324, entering the task of training new soldiers, units in the entire division have thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented the orders and training plans for 2023; fully and carefully prepared the training grounds, training grounds, materials, teaching models, training curriculum, organized cadre training, received and trained new soldiers strictly and seriously... Regarding the inspection work at the end of the "3 explosions", the division focused on directing units to do a good job of preparing the training grounds, materials, equipment, weapons, and equipment specifically and meticulously. Receiving the training content of the General Staff organized at Division 10 (Corps 3), the division organized a training course for cadres of the entire division, the Military School of the Military Region and 5 brigades of the military branches. After the military region's training course, the unit continued to organize training for company training officers, staff assistants of battalions and regimental agencies; implementing the contents and inspection steps in accordance with the Ministry's instructions.

Along with organizing training according to the motto "basic, practical, solid", attaching importance to synchronous and specialized training; training from easy to difficult, from simple to complex, focusing on training to improve practical ability, basic movements for soldiers. In the past time, cadres at all levels in the division have regularly closely followed, guided, and encouraged new soldiers, built up their mettle, strong mentality, and determination to compete for high achievements in the "3 explosions" test.

Captain Nguyen Tien Dung, Battalion Commander of Battalion 14, said: “This time the “3 explosions” inspection took place in extremely hot weather conditions; the shooting, detonation, and grenade throwing exercises had many new points compared to before. To achieve high and safe inspection results, along with focusing on training, officers at all levels focused on organizing soldiers to practice skills and movements; organizing segmented and comprehensive shooting exercises so that soldiers could get used to the explosions and gain experience promptly after each exercise. Along with that, the unit did a good job of political and ideological education, thoroughly grasping the tasks; launching and registering for emulation to each collective and individual; promptly encouraging officers and soldiers to raise their determination, solidarity, overcome all difficulties, and complete the tasks well and excellently”.

Thanks to the close leadership and direction; thorough understanding and serious implementation; clear assignment of tasks; the inspection sessions at the battalions under Division 324 were all "operated" smoothly, in compliance with safety regulations; the new soldiers mastered the theory, mastered the skills, had good techniques, flexibly applied tactics, and were calm and confident in completing the inspection contents well.

Returning from the podium receiving the "Good Shooter" award, comrade La Duc Khanh, a new soldier of Company 3, Battalion 15, excitedly said: “I am very happy to have achieved good results in shooting AK submachine guns. That achievement is thanks to the cadres at all levels who have trained, practiced, cared for and instructed us wholeheartedly, and regularly encouraged and motivated us. This has helped me to be calm, confident, and draw many experiences to achieve high results.”

Achieving excellent results in all "3 explosions", soldier Nguyen Trong Thanh, Company 3, Battalion 14 shared: "I am very happy to have achieved the "3 good" results. Calmness, confidence, loyalty to the correct aiming line, and skillful practice of the key movements are the "secrets" to my high achievements".

These are the first 4 new soldier training units of Division 324 to complete the "3-explosion" test for new soldiers. The "3-explosion" final test is the core content in the new soldier training program; it is an important "test" that contributes to educating and training the soldiers' mettle and steadfast mentality, and is a solid foundation so that after 3 months of training, new soldiers will have enough health, political mettle, ethics, technical and tactical skills, and be proficient in using assigned weapons and equipment, ready to receive and complete all tasks in their positions.

Colonel Nguyen Thao Truong, Commander of Division 324, emphasized: “The inspection was a great success, ensuring safety, achieving the set goals and requirements; it is the basis for the Division to evaluate the level and training capacity of the staff at all levels as well as the training quality of new soldiers. On that basis, the organization draws experience to improve the quality of training in the coming time; at the same time, direct the remaining units to continue to do a good job of preparing, organizing the "3-explosion" inspection for new soldiers safely, determined to achieve high results".
