According to information from the Ministry of National Defense , from April 3 to 4, 3,200 soldiers and militiamen in the Ministry of National Defense's parade and marching force will travel to the South by train to prepare for the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification.

According to Thanh Nien, at around 6:30 p.m. on April 3 (2 hours before the first train departed), many relatives and families of the soldiers were present at Hanoi station to encourage and say goodbye to their children and siblings who were leaving for their missions. Best wishes, fresh bouquets of flowers, smiles and tears were all expressed by them in the short time before they left for their missions.
