On April 3, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) held a conference to announce the decisions to appoint the Party Secretary and appoint the position of Chairman of the Board of Members of Agribank.

At the Conference, on behalf of the Government Party Committee, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong, member of the Government Party Committee Executive Committee, Secretary of the State Bank Party Committee presented the Decision of the Government Party Committee Standing Committee on appointing Mr. To Huy Vu to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Agribank Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

On behalf of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the State Bank of Vietnam, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong presented the Decision of the State Bank of Vietnam on the transfer and appointment of Mr. To Huy Vu to the position of Chairman of the Board of Members of Agribank from April 3, 2025.

Also at the Conference, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong presented the Decisions of the State Bank of Vietnam to transfer and appoint Ms. Thai Thi An Hoa - Deputy Director of the Department of Forecasting, Statistics - Monetary and Financial Stabilization of the State Bank of Vietnam and Mr. Le Manh Thang - Head of the Board of Supervisors of GPBank to hold the position of Member of the Board of Supervisors of Agribank. The Decisions take effect from April 3, 2025.

Speaking at the Conference, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong affirmed that the appointment of senior leaders will help Agribank strengthen its management and administration capacity to continue to perform well its political tasks and business activities in the coming time. The Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam hopes and believes that Mr. To Huy Vu and the appointed officials will promote their sense of responsibility, capacity and working experience, together with the collective leadership, officers and employees of Agribank to continue the tradition of solidarity, join hands and build Agribank to develop more and more, affirming its role and position as one of the leading commercial banks in Vietnam, making important contributions to the country's socio-economic development.

Mr. To Huy Vu was born in 1980, from Thanh Hoa. Bachelor's degree from Foreign Trade University, Master's degree in Business Administration, Master's degree in Management, Doctor of Economics in the French Republic, Senior in Political Theory. Mr. To Huy Vu has held the following positions: Director of the Monetary Forecasting and Statistics Department of the State Bank of Vietnam, Director of the International Cooperation Department of the State Bank of Vietnam.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. To Huy Vu - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members of Agribank expressed his honor to be entrusted with this important task and responsibility by the Government Party Committee, the Party Committee, and the Board of Directors of the State Bank of Vietnam.

New Chairman To Huy Vu affirmed that he will work with the entire Agribank system to inherit and promote the achievements that have been made, determined and strive to overcome all challenges, and successfully complete the assigned tasks.

In particular, focusing on leading and directing the comprehensive completion of key business targets for 2025 and the goals according to the Resolution of the 10th Agribank Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, the Restructuring Plan associated with bad debt settlement for the period 2021 - 2025; preparing and ensuring the best conditions for the successful organization of the 11th Agribank Party Congress, term 2025-2030...

The year 2025 is of great significance, deciding the completion of the objectives of the Restructuring Plan associated with bad debt settlement for the period 2021 - 2025, the targets of the Resolution of the 10th Congress of Agribank Party Delegates, term 2020 - 2025, the year of holding Party Congresses at all levels and the 11th Congress of Agribank Party Delegates, term 2025 - 2030, towards the 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee and the 14th National Congress of the Party. The completion of Agribank's senior personnel aims to strengthen leadership, direction, and effective and efficient operations, creating a solid foundation for Agribank to develop sustainably, joining the country in entering a new era - an era of breakthrough development and prosperity.
