On the evening of April 3, at Hanoi station, train number D19E-921 carried the parade and marching groups of group 1 (National Military Training Center 4, My Duc District, Hanoi) of the Ministry of National Defense to the South to participate in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification.

Before the train started, many relatives and family members of the soldiers were present at Hanoi station to encourage and say goodbye to their children who were leaving for their missions. The relatives quickly gave the soldiers their best wishes and gifts before their journey.
Away from home for several months after being mobilized to practice for the parade, the short period of time was not enough for them to confide in each other and tell each other stories of life. Therefore, when saying goodbye, many soldiers could not hold back their tears. Appointments and promises had to be postponed after they completed their military duties.
With red eyes, hugging her 4-year-old son before boarding the ship, soldier Pham Thi Kim Anh (32 years old, female medical officer) reluctantly said goodbye to her family. To prepare for the mission, Kim Anh had to be away from home for 5 months, so when she unexpectedly met her relatives, she was very excited, tears of happiness just kept flowing.

"I feel very honored and proud to stand in the parade. During the time I was away from home, all the work was done by my husband and family," she said.
Like Kim Anh, soldier Luong Thi Yen (Information Corps) could not hold back her tears when she met her daughter at Hanoi station. In the short moment, the mother and daughter did not say much to each other, but for Yen, that was "more than enough".

Since being away from her family and children, she has had to suppress her longing and try to practice. Her daughter is understanding and very obedient.
"I promised my daughter that after completing my mission I would come back and take her out. She cried and said, 'I miss you, Mom,'" Yen said emotionally.
Soldier Dao Tuyet Trinh (Military Region 3) said that the first time she was on the train to the South to carry out her mission, she felt very emotional and moved. Especially at the station, she was encouraged by agencies, units, leaders and people.

"I feel a little sad but also very honored and happy to stand in the ranks of the parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification. When we do our duty, it is inevitable that we miss home. Our family is also our strong support because if our family does not support us, we cannot complete our duty," said soldier Trinh.
This is her first time on duty in the South, and Trinh is also very excited to have the opportunity to visit this place. "We will have a new experience in a new environment that may only happen once in a lifetime," she continued.
According to the plan, group 1 (units currently training at the National Military Training Center 4, My Duc District, Hanoi) will depart from Hanoi station; group 2 (Military Region 5, Army Corps 34) will depart from Tam Ky station (Quang Nam), move to Bien Hoa station (Dong Nai), then continue by road to the military bases according to the training plan. The soldiers will be present in the South on April 5-6.
Soldier Nguyen Phuong Thao was moved when her close friend, whom she had not seen for many years, came to encourage her. The meeting only lasted 2 minutes, which made her quite regretful.
