Reporting to the Deputy Minister at the meeting, Head Coach of the Vietnam Women's Sepak Takraw Team Tran Thi Vui said that the team will concentrate on 16 athletes from the beginning of 2025, including core athletes such as Tran Thi Ngoc Yen, Nguyen Thi My, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Huyen, Nguyen Thi Yen... and promising young athletes.

At the 2025 World Cup held last March in India, the golden girls of Vietnam defeated their opponents Thailand to win the championship. This is considered a great premise, a favorable start for Vietnamese Sepak Takraw in 2025. The team's next goals are the World Championship in July and the 33rd SEA Games in December, both taking place in Thailand.

Evaluating the team's achievements, the Deputy Minister affirmed that the championship of the Vietnamese Women's Sepak Takraw Team has demonstrated Vietnam's strength in the international arena. The Deputy Minister hopes that the core athletes of the Women's Sepak Takraw Team and promising young athletes will continue to maintain their form towards the 33rd SEA Games and further, the 2026 ASIAD.

Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong requested the Vietnam Sports Administration to closely coordinate with the National High-Level Athlete Training Center to monitor training, activities, and injuries, ensuring timely support and treatment for athletes.

Reporting to the Deputy Minister at the meeting, Head Coach of the Vietnam Shooting Team Nghiem Viet Hung said that in 2025, with the goal of the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand, the Team has summoned a total of 45 athletes, 6 coaches and 1 expert. The summoned athletes are selected from athletes with high achievements in domestic and international tournaments. The large number of athletes concentrated in each event helps create high competition. Through training sessions, tests, and internal competitions, the coaching board will evaluate, select and gradually reduce the number of athletes in the next stages, moving towards selecting the best athletes for the ASIAD and the Olympics.

According to the proposal from the Vietnam Shooting Federation, in the coming time, the Federation will closely coordinate with the Vietnam Sports Administration to continue searching, working, and signing contracts with 1-2 more experts for important content, and at the same time, select highly qualified interpreters to ensure the best transmission to athletes.

After listening to the report from the team's coaching board, Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong emphasized that Shooting is one of the key sports that receives great attention and investment. The recent achievements at the Asian Cup have proven the efforts of the shooters. However, to have a breakthrough, greater efforts are needed.

In the coming time, the Deputy Minister suggested that the Vietnam Sports Department closely coordinate with the Shooting Federation to consider inviting more experts, ensuring even distribution to key events and athletes, ensuring good training and competition.

Regarding equipment and facilities, especially ammunition, the Deputy Minister requested relevant units to ensure adequate supplies. Key athletes are recommended to be equipped with new guns to serve training. Coaches need to closely monitor, have appropriate training plans, and create excitement for athletes.

Quoting General Secretary To Lam in the article "Future for the rising generation" with a strategic vision, placing youth at the center of national development, Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong emphasized that, in addition to the traditional factor with the gold medal achievement at the 2016 Rio Olympics, athletes need to promote the Vietnamese spirit, focusing on efforts to rise up.
