Awakening the ideal

Do Tran Minh Anh (born 2003), a student at the People's Police Academy, was born and raised in a family with a rich revolutionary tradition. Since childhood, Minh Anh always heard her mother talk about her grandfather, who joined the pre-insurrection army at the age of 13, serving in two resistance wars against the French and the Americans.

"He did not hesitate to volunteer to join the resistance war, even though he knew that the road ahead was full of difficulties and dangers. My mother said that he joined the army at a very young age with many dreams, but he clearly understood that his mission was to protect the country, to protect the values ​​of freedom and independence for the nation," Minh Anh recalled.

Therefore, stories about soldiers and police officers who are dedicated, brave and sacrifice to protect security and order, bringing peace to the people, have inspired Minh Anh's ideal. "Since then, I have always dreamed and persevered on the journey to become a people's police officer ," the young man said.

Since he was a high school student, Minh Anh passed the entrance exam to the High School for Natural Sciences and participated in the national math competition for 11th and 12th graders and won second prize... Thanks to these achievements, the male student was admitted directly to many universities. However, Minh Anh was determined to study for 3 months and passed the entrance exam to the People's Police Academy .

Do Tran Minh Anh has just received the Outstanding Young Police Face Award 2024 with many outstanding achievements.

Some of Minh Anh's outstanding achievements :

- Second Prize in the 2022 Non-Professional Informatics Olympiad;

- Third Prize in the 2023 Informatics Olympiad for Specialized Students;

- First prize in the 2023 ICPC Asia-Pacific regional programming contest;

- 5 good students at Central level in 2023;

- Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Award in Higher Education Institutions 2024;

- First Prize for Student Scientific Research at the Academy level 2024;

- Asian Police Student Scientific Research Exchange in Thailand in 2024;

- Outstanding Young Police Face 2024 .

Forge courage and determination

Studying and training in a special environment, Minh Anh felt the strictness and high discipline, which helped the male student deeply cultivate his character.

"Discipline is not only in work and study but also in every daily action, from working hours, working methods to attitudes towards comrades, teammates and teachers, all of which contribute to forming me into a resilient, responsible and highly self-disciplined person," Minh Anh said.

Through training sessions, practical training, and professional activities, the male students learned how to work under high pressure, develop decisiveness and the ability to quickly resolve situations.

Strict requirements on time, manners, and dress, along with always following the rules, not only help me develop discipline but also form a tight, precise working style, and always be ready to face challenges.

In particular, self-discipline has trained Minh Anh to be a very effective self-studyer. "Self-discipline helps me arrange my study time reasonably, proactively search for documents, solve problems independently, and maintain perseverance and endurance throughout the learning process. In addition, self-discipline also helps me proactively evaluate my learning results, build a research plan, thereby developing a strong self-study spirit," Minh Anh said.

Every night, the male student spends at least 3 hours researching and studying, sometimes staying up until 3am. Instead of panicking, the male student tries to break the work into smaller parts to handle.

Minh Anh added: "Whenever I feel stressed, I remind myself to persevere and stay strong, because I know that calmness and problem-solving ability will help me overcome all difficulties."

Minh Anh received the title of 5 Good Students at the Central level in 2023.

In addition to his professional and scientific research achievements, Minh Anh is also a liaison officer for the Annual International Conference (GAAM 8) of the Association of Police Training Institutions in Asia (APTA); participated in writing an essay on the topic "Cultivating ethics and integrity for the young generation of law enforcement forces in Southeast Asia" organized by UNODC in 2024; participated in a training course on collecting, preserving, and using evidence as electronic data in investigating human trafficking crimes in Vietnam...
