Dong Trieu: Propagating and disseminating the 2024 Land Law

On July 5, the People's Committee of Dong Trieu Town held a conference to disseminate the Land Law No. 31/2024/QH15 to the authorities from the town to communes, wards, socio-political organizations and people in the area. National Assembly Delegate Phan Duc Hieu, Standing Member of the National Assembly Economic Committee attended and presented the contents of the topic.

National Assembly Deputy Phan Duc Hieu, Standing Member of the National Assembly Economic Committee, conveyed new and outstanding contents of the 2024 Land Law.

The 2024 Land Law, passed by the 15th National Assembly, consists of 16 chapters and 260 articles, with many new and outstanding points. This is a major step forward in land reform, management and use, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development in the new period. The law takes effect on January 1, 2025.

However, according to the country's development requirements and the importance of the Law, which affects all aspects of life, the Government has submitted to the National Assembly for approval the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of a number of Laws, allowing the 2024 Land Law to take effect on August 1, 2024.

Dong Trieu Town identifies the dissemination and popularization of the new Land Law as an urgent and important task, aiming to bring the provisions of the law into life, ensuring unity and synchronization in land management from Party committees, authorities to the entire political system and all people.

The conference was organized directly by the People's Committee of Dong Trieu Town, combined online at 21 connecting points of communes and wards in the town, with the participation of all key officials at all levels in the whole town, cadres, civil servants, public employees, voters and people.

Delegates attending the conference listened to National Assembly Deputy Phan Duc Hieu, Standing Member of the National Assembly Economic Committee, directly convey the new, outstanding and noteworthy points in the Land Law No. 31/2024/QH15 with 5 main groups of contents: regulations on protecting the legitimate rights and interests of land users; land access; improving land use efficiency; land finance policy; effectiveness and efficiency of management.

With a serious spirit of listening and learning, delegates actively discussed practical difficulties and requested further clarification of legal regulations.

Organizing conferences helps local officials understand correctly and deeply the content of the law, and on that basis, effectively apply the law to practical work.

Representatives of the Town's Finance and Planning Department discussed and requested further clarification of the Law's provisions.

Immediately after the conference, the town leaders requested all civil servants from the town to the grassroots level to continue to proactively and actively study the provisions of the Law, related draft Decrees, and propose and recommend the Town People's Committee to send documents to competent authorities for consideration of problematic regulations, some transitional regulations or unclear contents...

Dong Trieu Town is the first district-level locality in the province as well as the whole country to organize a large-scale conference to disseminate the 2024 Land Law, reaching villages and residential areas with nearly 4,000 participants. This is also the grassroots force and team that actively contributes to spreading the law in the community.
