On the morning of February 6 (January 9), the People's Committee of Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa province organized the opening ceremony of Nua - Am Tien Temple festival, opening the gate to heaven on the top of Nua mountain.
According to Giao thong Newspaper, from dawn, thousands of people and tourists from all over the country flocked to the foot of Nua Mountain (in Co Dinh village, Tan Ninh commune, Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa) to begin a journey through the winding curves on the mountainside, about 3km long, to reach the area where the opening ceremony of the Nua - Am Tiem Temple festival took place.
From early morning, people and tourists from all over the country flocked to attend the opening ceremony of Nua - Am Tien temple and the opening of the gate to heaven.
In addition to burning incense in Nua - Am Tien temple, visitors can also make a pilgrimage about 100m to the sacred point, also known as the yang point, on the top of Nua mountain.

According to feng shui experts, this is the convergence point of heaven and earth (or the place where the door to heaven opens), all the spiritual energy of heaven and earth will converge at this sacred acupuncture point. The location of the sacred acupuncture point is a large, carefully fenced area of land, with a radius of about 21m. According to the beliefs of the people in the area, the acupuncture point on the top of Nua mountain is one of the most sacred acupuncture points.
When arriving at the Heaven Gate area, people and tourists walk around in a circle. According to folk belief, men walk 7 times and women walk 9 times to pray for health, luck, peace, happiness, and abundance...

It is known that in 2009, the complex of historical, cultural and scenic relics of Nua Mountain including Nua Mountain, Nua Temple - Am Tien was ranked as a national scenic relic.
Am Tien Temple is located on the top of Nua Mountain at an altitude of 538 m above sea level. The relic complex includes "Nua Mountain - Nua Temple - Am Tien", with a total area of 100 hectares, of which Am Tien Temple area is 4 hectares, which is associated with the story of Ba Trieu's uprising against the invading Ngo army in 248 BC.
People use money and rub their hands on the round rock on the top of the mountain to pray for luck.
After the death of female general Trieu Thi Trinh, Am Tien temple both worshiped the Lady of the Upper Realm and was a place for people to worship and remember her merits.

To get to Nua - Am Tien temple, people have to overcome the winding curves on the mountainside with a length of about 3km.
The car park is packed halfway up Nua Mountain on the morning of January 9 (lunar calendar).
From the parking lot, people can walk or use the electric car service for 10,000 VND/person/trip to get up/down to the temple with a distance of about 500m.
In 2009, Nua - Am Tien Temple was ranked as a national historical and scenic relic.
