(Fatherland) - On February 18 (January 9, Giap Thin year), at Huyen Tran Cultural Center (foot of Ngu Phong mountain, Hue city, Thua Thien Hue province), Huyen Tran Temple Festival with the theme "Respect for ancestors" officially opened with the participation of a large number of people.
The Huyen Tran Temple Festival is held to commemorate the contributions of Princess Huyen Tran (1287 - 1340). Following the king's order to marry into the land of Champa to take back the land of Chau O - Ly (now the southern region of Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue), Huyen Tran is one of three princesses in Vietnamese history who contributed to expanding the territory.

The festival opened with an epic art performance recreating the life and great achievements of Princess Huyen Tran.
After the ceremony and drum beating ceremony to open the festival, leaders of Thua Thien Hue province, people and tourists offered incense to commemorate and express their respect and gratitude to King Buddha Tran Nhan Tong and Princess Huyen Tran.
The festival attracts the participation of many people from all walks of life, and tourists offering incense and sightseeing.

It is known that Huyen Tran Temple Festival is part of the program "Spring Festival of Hue Festival 2024", the program aims to promote to tourists from all over the world the images and values of cultural heritage, a land imbued with the cultural identity of the whole country, the ASEAN cultural city, the Festival city of Vietnam.
