Towards the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025): Ho Chi Minh City completes the design of a grandstand system with 5,260 seats for delegates

At the press conference, Colonel Tran Van Trung, Chief of Political Affairs of the Ho Chi Minh City Command, said that on the night of April 30, from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., the city will organize fireworks displays at 30 locations, including 2 high-altitude locations at the Saigon River Tunnel Area (Thu Duc) and Ben Duoc Temple (Cu Chi District).

Low-altitude fireworks display locations include: Nga Ba Giong (Hoc Mon), Ben Noc Memorial Temple (Thu Duc), Rung Sac Martyrs Memorial Temple (Can Gio), An Phu Dong War Zone (District 12), Lang Le Cultural Park (Binh Chanh District), Binh Tri Dong Residential Area (Binh Tan), Thong Nhat Hall (District 1), Thanh Da Peninsula Area (Binh Thanh), Thao Dien Area (Thu Duc City), Landmark 81 Park (Binh Thanh), Ba Son Bridge (District 1), Tan Thuan Bridge (District 4), Tay Bac Industrial Park (Cu Chi), Go Vap District Cultural Park, Nha Be District People's Committee Area, District 7 Administrative Center, Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11), Binh Dien Market Area (District 8), Tan Thoi Nhat 38ha Resettlement Area (District 12), An Binh Area (Tan Phu), Binh Phu Park (District 6).

Along with that are some shooting points on barges in Rach Chiec area; Saigon River area; Van Phuc Urban Area area, Bach Dang Wharf.

Before the night of April 30, the city will also organize high-altitude fireworks displays on the nights of April 19 and April 26 at Saigon Riverside Park (Thu Duc) at 9:30 - 9:40 p.m.

At the press conference, Colonel Nguyen Nhu Truc, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of Military Region 7, said that preparations for the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) are being urgently deployed.

According to Colonel Nguyen Nhu Truc, the Ministry of National Defense is in charge of 23 key activities during this holiday, in which Military Region 7 is assigned some specific tasks. The general training sessions of the armed forces took place on April 11 and 15 at Air Force Regiment 935 (Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province), along with two training sessions on Le Duan Street (District 1) on April 18 and 22. These activities were chaired by the General Staff.

The military force will have 32 units participating in the parade. Military Region 7 alone has 7 units, including 3 female units and 4 male units, who have actively practiced, participated in the preliminary and final rehearsals according to plan. Currently, the parade and marching groups from all over the country have gathered, settled down, and practiced in Ho Chi Minh City.

On April 17, the Ministry of National Defense will organize a national scientific conference on the Great Victory of Spring 1975. From now until the Anniversary, Military Region 7 and forces under the Ministry of National Defense will also participate in many special art programs.

The Ministry of National Defense and Ho Chi Minh City have coordinated to conduct a field survey and agreed to issue a plan to organize the parade. The parade will involve 36 armed forces and police units, led by the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security. This will be followed by a parade with 12 units, about 13,000 people, led by Ho Chi Minh City.

The City People's Committee said that the city has completed the design of the grandstand system with a total of 5,260 seats for delegates, including: Grandstand A (1,068 seats), Grandstand B (1,832 seats) and Grandstand C (2,360 seats). The ceremony area has full technical infrastructure to serve the event such as: Press area, data center, press house, medical area, ambulance - fire truck, mobile toilet, main power station and technical center.

This year’s parade will apply modern technology: LED screens, video art, virtual reality technology and 3D graphics to illustrate documentary images and vivid projections throughout the program. Speaker systems and LED screens will be arranged on main roads and crowded areas for live viewing.

In addition to the central area, Ho Chi Minh City also arranged 22 large LED screens in districts and Thu Duc, utilizing both commercial and residential advertising screens to broadcast the Ceremony live, making it easy for people to follow. In addition, the ceremony will also be broadcast live on television and many other platforms.
