Tottenham's 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace in the early match of round 10 of the Premier League helped the London team increase the gap with second-placed Man City to 5 points.

Tottenham played the London derby for two consecutive rounds. In the latest match of round 9 of the Premier League on Tuesday morning this week, Coach Postecoglou's team won 2-0 against Fulham.
A big contributor to Tottenham's victory was captain Son Heung Min, the Korean striker had a goal and an assist.
Son Heung Min continued to make important contributions in Tottenham's 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace in the early match of round 10 of the Premier League taking place early this morning (October 28).
After a goalless first half, Ward scored an own goal in the 53rd minute to give Tottenham the opening goal. Son Heung Min increased the score to 2-0 in the 66th minute. Ayew's goal in the 90+4th minute only helped the Selhurst Park home team to have an honorary goal.
Tottenham dominated the game from the opening whistle but the visitors struggled against the home team's well-organised defence. Tottenham had 72% possession in the first half but only had three harmless shots.
In contrast to the poor attacking performance of the visitors, the home team had sharp counter-attacks. In the first 10 minutes alone, Crystal Palace twice forced goalkeeper Vicario to work hard to block. In the first half, Crystal Palace had 8 shots, but unfortunately the home team did not score.
After a deadlocked first half, Tottenham were lucky to open the scoring in the 53rd minute. From Maddison's powerful cross, Ward made an unsafe save near the goal, causing the ball to bounce into the net and Tottenham took a 1-0 lead.
The opening goal helped Tottenham players relieve pressure. In the 66th minute, Tottenham players coordinated their attacks smoothly, Johnson created a favorable pass for Son Heung Min to finish with one touch from 6 meters, raising the score to 2-0.
Crystal Palace were forced to fight back after conceding two goals. In the 90+4 minute, Ayew held the ball with his chest at the edge of the penalty area and then swiped the ball with the outside of his right foot, sending the ball straight into the net, leaving Vicario helpless.
VAR stepped in to see if Ayew had handled the ball before scoring and the referee eventually awarded the goal to the home team.
In the remaining minutes, Crystal Palace tried to attack to find an equalizer but they were unsuccessful. With 3 more points, Tottenham rose to 26 points, creating a 5-point gap with the second-place team Man City.
Tottenham's victory puts great pressure on Man City when the defending champions have to play at MU's home ground tomorrow night (10:30 p.m., October 29).
