The provincial Cooperative Union has coordinated with relevant agencies to do a good job of propaganda and training on collective economy in general and cooperatives in particular. Thereby, contributing to improving knowledge and skills for managers and cooperative members to gradually apply effectively in production and business activities.
Cooperative managers exchange and share experiences at a training session on e-commerce.
According to the assessment of the Provincial Cooperative Union, the monotony of propaganda content and propaganda topics has not kept up with the development trend of cooperatives in the new period; the training participants have not changed much, many cooperatives do not know about the training courses to register to participate... are the main reasons leading to the low quality of propaganda and training courses on collective economy and cooperatives, still formal. Faced with that reality, in recent years, the Provincial Cooperative Union and related agencies have implemented specific solutions to innovate and improve the quality of propaganda and training for cooperatives. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tuan, Chairman of the Provincial Cooperative Union, said: In order to improve the effectiveness of propaganda and training for cooperatives, every year, the Provincial Cooperative Union coordinates with a number of associations, unions, and professional units to propagate and train the key contents of the Law on Cooperatives and integrate related support policies for cooperatives to access. At the same time, the Provincial Cooperative Union has proactively studied the actual needs of cooperatives, thereby developing a propaganda and training plan that is focused, key, and close to reality to attract a large number of cooperative managers and members to participate.
Based on the reality of the influence of digital technology in production and product consumption, in 2023, the Provincial Cooperative Union coordinated with the Institute of Science, Technology and Environment to organize 2 training courses to raise awareness and skills in applying e-commerce for enterprises, cooperatives, and cooperative groups in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. Through the training course, it helped cooperative and cooperative management staff have a clearer view of e-commerce and the application of e-commerce in the production and business activities of cooperatives, understand and use the online product market for products so that they can link production, promote trade, advertise and consume products. Ms. Luong Thi Niem, Director of Lang Chanh Organic Safe Agriculture Cooperative, said: The province's cooperatives mainly promote and consume products directly at fairs and conferences; recently, they have promoted on social networking platforms such as Facebook, Zalo, etc. However, due to lack of experience, the amount of interaction is limited. After attending the training course, I have gained more skills and experience to promote and sell products not only on e-commerce sites but also on the Tiktok platform. Thanks to that, the products are known to the market and have more customers across the country.
There are currently 835 agricultural cooperatives in the province, so skills in caring for crops and livestock, and developing in a safe direction are always training contents that attract a large number of cooperative members to participate. Ms. Ha Thi Thuy, Head of Policy and Movement Department (Provincial Cooperative Union), said: "In agricultural training courses, experts impart in-depth information and knowledge, and provide technical guidance in a "hands-on" manner to people. Through the training courses, trainees can exchange and have experts answer difficulties and problems in the production process. Each situation will be supported to solve specifically and effectively so that cooperative members can apply it directly to production, bringing high economic efficiency".
According to statistics from the Provincial Cooperative Union, from 2023 to April 2024, the Provincial Cooperative Union coordinated to organize 17 propaganda conferences and 11 training courses for more than 2,100 members and cooperative managers. At the same time, 15 training trips were organized to learn from experiences at typical cooperatives of 17 other provincial Cooperative Unions. The number of propaganda and training courses is not larger than in previous years, but the propaganda and training work has focused on new contents, originating from the practical needs of cooperatives such as: promoting agricultural value, promoting trade, accessing markets, improving accounting and tax skills for cooperatives, etc.
