(QNO) - On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam (September 21, 1973 - September 21, 2023), for 6 days (from July 25 to 30), at the invitation of the Mayor of Kinokawa City, a delegation of Quang Nam Province participated in exchange activities in Kinokawa City, Wakayama Province, Japan.

During the working trip, the delegation of 25 members, including 21 students from high schools in Quang Nam province, visited and interacted with Japanese students and people, participated in tree planting activities and programs related to the environment and disaster prevention in Kinokawa city.

This cultural exchange activity aims to further strengthen the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two localities, creating conditions for students from both sides to exchange and study, promoting mutual understanding and strengthening friendship between Japanese and Vietnamese youth.

It is known that Quang Nam province and Kinokawa city (Wakayama province, Japan) officially established friendly cooperation relations on January 11, 2020 under the witness of Secretary General of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance Nikai Toshihiro and former Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

The friendly cooperation between Quang Nam province and Japanese partners, including Kinokawa city, has developed well and sustainably in recent times, in line with the extensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

Since establishing friendly cooperative relations, Quang Nam (Vietnam) and Wakayama province (Japan) have had many exchange and study trips between leaders and students of the two localities.

Participating in this exchange and study trip, Thai Nguyen Van Giang - a student of Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted had interesting experiences. Van Giang said that the exchanges with students from Kokawa and Kishigawa High Schools created opportunities for Quang Nam students to learn about the unique features of Japanese culture, people and learning culture, and at the same time had the opportunity to introduce the culture of Quang Nam and Vietnam.

It is known that on July 28-29, the delegation of high school students from Wakayama province also visited Junko Primary School (Dien Phuoc commune, Dien Ban), visited the Wastewater Treatment Plant of the Water Quality Improvement Project in the area of ​​the Japanese Covered Bridge - Hoi An and visited Hoi An ancient town.
