On the morning of July 25, at the National Funeral House - No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong (Hanoi), the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the family solemnly held a funeral for comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Party, according to the State funeral protocol.
At exactly 7 o'clock, the funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was held in a solemn and emotional atmosphere. The coffin of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was placed in the most solemn position, in the middle of the altar, covered with a bright red national flag. On the altar was a national flag with a black ribbon, highlighting the words "Deeply mourning comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam" and his portrait.
In deep emotion and grief, from early morning, delegations of the Party, State, National Assembly, Government, Vietnam Fatherland Front, ministries, departments, branches, cadres, soldiers of the armed forces and a large number of people from the capital and many provinces and cities across the country gathered at the National Funeral Home - No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong to attend the funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong - the leader who had many great and especially outstanding contributions to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
Visiting General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of the province and the National Assembly Delegation of the province was led by comrade Nguyen Xuan Ky, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.
With infinite sorrow and regret, the delegation of Quang Ninh province respectfully burned incense and observed a moment of silence to commemorate General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, an exceptionally outstanding and talented leader, a great cultural figure, a shining moral example, an exemplary personality, a loyal communist, who devoted his whole life to the country and the people.
On behalf of the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of all ethnic groups in Quang Ninh province, comrade Nguyen Xuan Ky, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, emotionally wrote: Dear spirit of the General Secretary, the Party Committee, government, people of all ethnic groups, local armed forces, cadres, workers and laborers of the Coal industry deeply mourn the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong - an outstanding leader - theorist - thinker - great cultural figure, who devoted his whole life to the country and the people.
The Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Quang Ninh province vow to unite, strive and be determined to successfully achieve the goal: "Building and developing Quang Ninh province to become increasingly rich, civilized and modern; people will increasingly have a prosperous and happy life" as the General Secretary once advised during his lifetime.
The funeral for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong will be held from 7:00 to 22:00 on July 25 and from 7:00 to 13:00 on July 26. The memorial service for comrade Nguyen Phu Trong will be held at 13:00 on July 26 at the National Funeral Home No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi. The burial ceremony will be held at 15:00 on the same day at Mai Dich Cemetery, Hanoi. The funeral service for comrade Nguyen Phu Trong will be held at the same time at Thong Nhat Hall, Ho Chi Minh City and at his hometown in Dong Hoi commune, Dong Anh district, Hanoi.
