On the afternoon of November 16, Mr. Ngo Tan Lac, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tra Cang Commune (Nam Tra My District, Quang Nam), said that due to heavy rain and floods, at noon of the same day, military forces, militia and people coordinated to carry Ms. Ho Thi Net (60 years old, in Tu Du village, village 3, Tra Cang Commune) on foot for nearly 30 km before an ambulance took her to the Nam Tra My District Medical Center for emergency treatment.
Mrs. Net was carried nearly 30 km to the emergency room.
Last night, November 15, due to carelessness, Mrs. Net fell and broke her femur. However, due to heavy rain, the road was cut off, and travel was too difficult, and fearing that transporting the patient by motorbike would endanger her, this morning, November 16, the Tra Cang commune government mobilized military forces, militia and people to help carry her to the Tra Cang commune health station for first aid.
Then, the combined forces used a stretcher to carry the patient from the commune health station nearly 30 km to Highway 40B to transfer him to an ambulance to take him to the district health center for treatment.
Doctor Hoang Van Luan, Deputy Director of Nam Tra My District Medical Center, said that after examination, patient Ho Thi Net was diagnosed with a fracture and swelling of the left thigh. Doctors administered intravenous fluids, pain relievers, antihypertensives, and immobilized the left thigh bone to continue transferring her to the provincial hospital for monitoring and treatment.
