According to the announcement of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (now the Ministry of Home Affairs), on the occasion of Hung King's death anniversary in 2025, students will have 3 days off, falling on Monday, April 7 (March 10 of the lunar calendar).

Hung King's Commemoration Day 2025 holiday schedule for students

The Hung Kings Commemoration Day in 2025 will take place on the 10th day of the third lunar month, which is Monday, April 7th. According to general regulations, students will have a day off on this holiday.

However, because the Hung Kings Commemoration Day 2025 holiday falls on Monday, students in many places who have weekly holidays on Saturday and Sunday will have 3 consecutive days off. Specifically, schools will be closed from Saturday, April 5 to Monday, April 7.

The Hung Kings' Commemoration Day 2025 holiday schedule may change depending on the decision of each agency, unit or business, school, university based on the specific work, schedule and internal regulations.

In 2025, civil servants and employees will have 22 days off for holidays and Tet, including 11 official days and 11 compensatory days off, consecutive days off due to falling on weekly holidays, or swapping working days.

Advice for parents to ensure their children's safety during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day holiday 2025

Sharing with Dan Viet Newspaper, Ms. Nguyen Linh Chi, principal of Kim Lien Primary School, Dong Da District, Hanoi said: "Because the school does not study on Saturdays, the 2025 Hung King Commemoration Day holiday schedule for students will be 3 days.

Before the holiday, the school reminded parents to ensure the safety of their children, play healthily, and obey traffic laws. In addition, parents guided their children to participate in activities at home to ensure health safety, food safety, and disease prevention.

Ms. Chi added that students are currently in the middle of their second midterm exams, so they will have a great time during the upcoming holidays. Not only during holidays and Tet, but also on normal days, teachers do not assign homework so that students can rest with their families. This year, the school has more than 1,560 students.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training's school year schedule, the second semester will end before May 31. Schools will consider recognizing completion of primary school and secondary school graduation before June 30. Enrollment for first-grade classes will be completed before July 31.

The 2025 high school graduation exam is scheduled to take place on June 26-27. Other national exams are organized according to regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Regarding the principles of building the school year schedule of localities, the Ministry of Education and Training stipulates that localities must ensure 35 weeks of actual study (18 weeks for semester I and 17 weeks for semester II). The school year schedule must be suitable to the characteristics and practical conditions of the locality.
