Opening Ceremony of the 2025 Ancestral Land Book Fair

On March 30 , 2025 , the Department of Culture , Sports and Tourism organized the opening ceremony of the 2025 Ancestral Land Book Fair . This activity is part of a series of events serving the Hung Kings Commemoration Day and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week in the Year of the Snake 2025; in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, World Book and Copyright Day; and to create a reading space for book lovers in Phu Tho province.

Attending the opening ceremony were Comrade Vi Manh Hung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department ; leaders of the National Library of Vietnam; representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Provincial Military Command and a number of departments, agencies and units of the province , along with a large number of officials, civil servants, employees, soldiers , youth union members , students and A book-loving reader.

With the theme "Books - Accompanying and honoring the cultural values of the ancestral land" , Ancestral Land Book Fair 2025 The book fair was held from March 28th to April 6th , 2025 at the Phu Tho Provincial Library. The book fair featured... over 1,000 books and newspapers With a total of over 4,000 books and many practical programs and activities such as: displaying documents and introducing books and newspapers; launching a book donation campaign to build a community library "Contribute a small book - Read a thousand good books"; daily book introductions and discussions on the theme "Proud of our homeland"; drawing activities in a "Friendly Reading Corner"; recreating a traditional Northern Vietnamese cultural space with a used book and newspaper stall, a painting and photo booth, calligraphy, handicraft display, and Vietnamese folk games.

In his opening remarks at the Book Fair , the leader of the Department of Culture , Sports and Tourism emphasized: Through the 2025 Ancestral Land Book Fair ... This not only contributes to promoting reading culture but also serves as an opportunity to honor the cultural values and spiritual heritage of our ancestors; to educate and encourage the people to understand the meaning and importance of reading for the development of knowledge and human spirit, as well as to enhance the responsibility of all levels, sectors, and organizations towards creating, promoting, and preserving books in the province.
