The forum was held in both direct and online formats, providing an opportunity for nearly 500 domestic and foreign partners to meet and exchange information. In particular, there was the participation of leaders of more than 35 localities that have established and will establish friendly and cooperative relations with Da Nang, as well as foreign Ambassadors and Consuls General.
This is an opportunity for Da Nang City to review the achievements on the bilateral and multilateral cooperation map that the city has achieved; at the same time, expand and strengthen international cooperation in important areas such as innovation, smart city development, high technology, urban planning and sustainable tourism.

Speaking at the opening of the Forum, Mr. Le Trung Chinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City said that the Forum of Friendship and Cooperation Cities - Da Nang 2025 is an important international foreign affairs and cooperation event that opens a series of international events taking place in the city in 2025.
Through the Forum, Da Nang City hopes to increase discussions on key areas, including: Innovation, promoting cooperation in the field of research, development and application of new technologies; smart cities; encouraging investment and cooperation in the fields of high technology, semiconductor technology and artificial intelligence; urban planning and sustainable tourism; environmental protection and cultural heritage.
“In the context of deep international integration, Da Nang always opens its doors to welcome localities and international partners, strengthens friendship with localities, expands the international cooperation map, exploits potentials together, aims for sustainable development, narrows geographical distances and connects the community” , said Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee Le Trung Chinh.

At the forum, representatives of localities, experts and international organizations discussed issues related to strengthening international cooperation and integration towards sustainable development, including cooperation in the fields of tourism, cultural exchange, cooperation in supporting business connections, etc.
Within the framework of the Forum of Friendship and Cooperation Cities - Da Nang 2025, many activities will also take place, such as bilateral working sessions between Da Nang and partner localities; two thematic seminars on investment and tourism; a friendship tree planting program, etc.
