The tournament is one of the events towards the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Security Day. The tournament is hosted by the Ministry of Public Security, co-organized by the Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association and the World Police Taekwondo Federation, with the participation of over 2,500 people including referees, athletes, and fans from 40 Asian countries.
