
According to the submission, Quang Nam proposed that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development consider and approve the classification and grading of 47 dike routes, with a total length of more than 123km, protecting more than 81,000 people and a protected area of more than 10,800 hectares.
Of the 47 proposed dike routes, Thang Binh has 14 routes; Nui Thanh has 15 routes; Dien Ban town has 1 route; Tam Ky city has 2 routes; Duy Xuyen city has 5 routes; Hoi An city has 6 routes; Que Son has 4 routes. All dike routes are proposed to be classified as level V dikes, with the function of preventing salinity and protecting agricultural land. The Tay Yen River dike route alone has the function of preventing floods and protecting residential land and agricultural land; the Ban Thach River dike route has the function of preventing floods and protecting residential land.
