Speaking at the discussion, delegate Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, National Assembly delegate of Quang Ninh province said: Assessing the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan in 2024, the expected socio-economic development plan in 2025 needs to review and carefully consider issues affecting the socio-economic development situation to see an overview of the country's development picture in 2024. In particular, the impacts caused by storm No. 3 (Yagi) in September to develop solutions to overcome and develop in the coming time.

According to Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee Vu Hong Thanh, a National Assembly delegate from Quang Ninh province, in order to complete the economic growth target and other targets and tasks according to the Resolution on the Socio-Economic Development Plan for 2024 and other resolutions of the National Assembly, in the remaining months of 2024, the Government needs to prioritize macroeconomic management. In particular, continuing to restructure the economy, renewing the growth model; consolidating, maintaining the role and renewing the main growth drivers, traditional growth drivers, promoting new growth drivers. Having solutions to accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital, implementing national target programs, key national projects and works; reviewing and having effective solutions to implement infrastructure projects under the public-private partnership model.

In addition, delegate Vu Hong Thanh also noted that the real estate market has shown signs of recovery but still faces difficulties, especially in terms of processes and procedures for developing social housing projects. Apartment prices, including social housing in some areas, have increased dramatically due to scarce supply and an imbalance in the product structure in the market, making it difficult for people to access social housing. Therefore, it is recommended that the Government strengthen management and supervision of the stock market and real estate market along with solutions to stabilize and promote the development of these markets, strengthening investors' confidence.
