On August 27, at the provincial relic site of Tran Phu Hill, Tran Phu ward, Hai Hoa ward and Hai Hoa Border Post (Mong Cai city) jointly held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the 93rd death anniversary of General Secretary Tran Phu.
The provincial relic of Tran Phu Hill was the last stop 98 years ago, on July 17, 1926, where comrade Tran Phu's delegation stopped before leaving for Guangzhou (China).

Comrade Tran Phu was born on May 1, 1904 in Tung Anh commune, Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh province. He grew up in a family with a tradition of studiousness and early participated in revolutionary activities. In 1925, he and a number of Vietnamese patriots founded revolutionary organizations (Phuc Viet Association, Hung Nam Association, Vietnam Revolutionary Party). In 1927, he was sent by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc to study at the Oriental International University (Soviet Union). In April 1930, he returned to Vietnam and was added to the Provisional Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam. In October 1930, he chaired the First Central Committee Conference in Hong Kong (China) and proposed the Party's Political Platform. At this conference, he was elected the first General Secretary of the Indochinese Communist Party at the age of 26. In April 1931, he was arrested by the French colonialists and brutally tortured, but Tran Phu still maintained his Communist spirit. On September 6, 1931 (July 24, 1931), he sacrificed himself with the immortal words "Keep the will to fight".
To pay tribute, commemorate and express respect to comrade Tran Phu, Mong Cai City has proactively prepared a scientific dossier to propose the ranking of Tran Phu Hill historical relic. On September 17, 2012, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province ranked Tran Phu Hill as a provincial historical relic. Tran Phu Hill historical relic is a historical evidence, becoming a "Red Address" for educating the tradition of patriotism and revolutionary heroism of our nation.
To commemorate the late General Secretary Tran Phu, delegates offered incense and spent a minute in respectful silence to express gratitude for his contributions. Before the spirit of the late General Secretary Tran Phu, with pride and steadfast faith in the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam, cadres and people of all ethnic groups in Mong Cai City vow to live, work and study worthy of his great sacrifice; determined to fulfill the noble mission entrusted to them by the Party, State and people; firmly manage and protect the territorial sovereignty and national border security; build a peaceful, friendly, stable, cooperative and mutually developing border; build Mong Cai City in general and Tran Phu and Hai Hoa wards in particular to become increasingly prosperous, civilized and modern, contributing to the successful implementation of the task of building socialism and firmly protecting the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam.
