Talking with Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Phong, Deputy Head of the Inspection Committee (IC) of the Party Committee of Brigade 297, we learned that: The Party Committee and the IC of the Party Committee of Brigade 297 regularly lead and direct Party committees and organizations at all levels to thoroughly grasp and implement resolutions, directives, conclusions, and regulations of the superiors and the Brigade Party Committee on inspection and supervision work; promptly organize the study, research, and dissemination of new documents on inspection and supervision work, and enforcement of Party discipline for cadres, Party members, and Party organizations in the entire Party Committee.

Taking the prevention as the main motto, the Party Committee and the Party Inspection Commission of Brigade 297 have actively directed and guided Party organizations to regularly disseminate and educate cadres and Party members to properly and fully comply with the Party's principles; proactively prevent and stop manifestations of violations of the law, Party discipline, and Army discipline; degradation in political ideology, moral qualities, lifestyle, manifestations of "self-evolution", "self-transformation" and emerging negativity; strengthen the grasp and management of the ideological situation, regularly monitor Party members with low performance in completing tasks; at the same time, assign and delegate tasks to Party Committee members in charge to conduct regular supervision, closely manage, promptly report and advise the Brigade Party Committee when Party members show signs of violations.

Since the beginning of the 2020-2025 term, Party committees and Party organizations at all levels in the Party Committee of Brigade 297 have always closely followed the political tasks, Party building work, and instructions from superiors to issue resolutions, regulations, and develop programs and plans for term- and annual economic and supervisory work. Annual, 6-month, and regular leadership resolutions of Party committees and organizations always identify economic and supervisory work as an important content in Party building work. Economic and supervisory meetings of Party committees and organizations are conducted in accordance with procedures and principles, and quality and efficiency are improved.

The Party Committee and the Inspection Commission of the Party Committee of Brigade 297 focus on closely combining the collective inspection and supervision of the Party Committee and Party organizations with the inspection and supervision of the Party Committee members who are the leading cadres of the agencies and units; linking the collective leadership responsibility with the assignment of individual responsibilities. Implementing the viewpoint of "extended supervision and inspection must have a focus and key points", the content of inspection and supervision of the Party organization and Party members is specifically determined by the Party Committees and Party organizations at Brigade 297 Party Committee...

Focus on implementing resolutions, directives, principles, regulations and rules of the Party; performing political tasks of agencies and units; complying with State laws and military discipline; performing duties and tasks; cultivating qualities, ethics and lifestyles; setting examples for cadres and party members, especially those in charge at all levels; overcoming limitations and shortcomings after self-criticism and criticism according to Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (Term XIII); associated with implementing Directive 05 of the Politburo, Directive 87 of the Central Military Commission Standing Committee. The process of inspection and supervision effectively promotes the spirit of self-criticism and criticism; heightens the responsibility and self-awareness of cadres, party members and party organizations that are inspected and disciplined; and promotes the role of mass organizations and military councils in inspection and supervision activities.

According to Colonel Bui Van Thuy, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Brigade 297: Recognizing the position, role and importance of the work of economic and political criticism, the Party Committee of Brigade 297 attaches importance to the work of leading and directing Party committees, Party organizations, agencies and units to strictly implement the grassroots democracy regulations, and at the same time requires Party secretaries and deputy secretaries to be exemplary cadres, pioneers in self-criticism and criticism. Party secretaries need to be flexible, orientate and inspire a democratic and open atmosphere so that Party members dare to speak up about their own experiences in economic and political criticism activities.

The work of grasping ideology, managing and maintaining discipline in troops has had many positive changes; that is the foundation for building a strong and clean Party Committee of the Brigade, and the unit has successfully completed all assigned tasks,” affirmed Colonel Bui Van Thuy.
