The 7th Congress of Delegates of the Provincial Lawyers Association

On the morning of August 27, the Ninh Binh Provincial Bar Association held its 7th Congress of Delegates for the 2024-2029 term.

Attending the opening ceremony of the Congress were comrade Tran Song Tung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Vietnam Lawyers Association; leaders of a number of departments, branches, sectors and localities in the province; representatives of the Emulation Bloc of Special Associations and 98 outstanding lawyers representing more than 2,000 members in the province attending the Congress.

During the past term, closely following the guidelines of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Bar Association, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee and the proposed working directions and tasks, the Provincial Bar Association has proactively developed and completed work programs and plans, contributing to the successful implementation of the province's tasks.

The work of participating in policy and law making continues to be promoted, the content, forms and methods of participation are increasingly diverse, the quality and effectiveness are increasingly improved, actively contributing to the building and perfecting of policies and laws of the Party and State. In 5 years, the Association has organized comments on 78 projects, draft laws and resolutions of the National Assembly.

Legal consultancy, legal aid, complaint settlement consultancy and mediation at the grassroots level continued to be strengthened and developed. The Lawyers Association at all levels has participated in consulting on over 9,200 cases in the fields of civil disputes, land, tax policies, marriage and family, etc.; provided legal aid to over 1,500 cases, contributing to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of citizens, maintaining social order and security.

The work of propagating, disseminating and educating the law has been strengthened and achieved many good results. The Associations at all levels in the province have coordinated to organize nearly 2,900 conferences to propagate and disseminate the law for over 180,000 participants; actively coordinated to propagate the Party and State's policy of socializing the work of disseminating and educating the law...

With the achievements, in the past term, the Provincial Bar Association was awarded the Emulation Flag for Excellent Unit by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Bar Association; many collectives and individuals were commended at all levels.

At the Congress, delegates focused on discussing and agreeing on the direction and tasks for the coming term, which are: promoting the spirit of solidarity, proactiveness, creativity, continuing to innovate, improving the quality and efficiency of operations, building a comprehensive and strong organization system of the Association, developing a team of lawyers according to the six ethical standards of members of the Vietnam Lawyers Association, including being good at expertise and profession, steadfast in political ideology, dedicated to the profession, for the people, for justice; promoting the role of a political - social - professional organization assigned by the Party and State, striving to fulfill all assigned tasks; building the Ninh Binh Provincial Lawyers Association to be truly strong in politics, ideology, organization and profession.

At the Congress, 33 comrades were elected to the Executive Committee of the Provincial Bar Association; comrade Nguyen Hung Tien was re-elected as Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Bar Association for the 2024-2029 term.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Lawyers Association and the Provincial People's Committee commended collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the Association's activities for the 2019-2024 term.
