Attending the congress, on the Central side, there were Associate Professor, Doctor, musician Do Hong Quan - Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations; Associate Professor - Doctor Nguyen The Ky - Former member of the Party Central Committee, former General Director of the Voice of Vietnam Radio Station, Chairman of the Central Council for Theory and Criticism of Literature and Arts; Associate Professor - Doctor Tran Khanh Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Central Council for Theory and Criticism of Literature and Arts.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Also attending were representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors and 214 delegates representing 360 members in the whole province...
Proud efforts
In the past term, despite many difficulties and challenges, under the leadership of Party committees and authorities at all levels, and the effective coordination of all levels, sectors, localities and members, the Nghe An Literature and Arts Association still achieved many remarkable results and made new developments.
During the term, over 160 books of members were published, 276 fine art works were exhibited at national and regional levels; over 230 art photos were exhibited at national and regional levels; hundreds of songs, stage plays, and dance works were staged and performed.
The Association also has many authors who have won awards from Central Professional Associations, the Vietnam Writers Association, and the Vietnam Fine Arts Association. Two authors have been awarded the State Prize (musician Le Ham and musician Duong Hong Tu); Writer Nguyen The Quang has won the Southeast Asian Literature Award. The Association has supported high-quality publishing and investment for 161 works/groups of works by 161 authors/groups of authors.
With its role and tasks, the Association has also organized 14 creative camps in the province for 223 members, with 586 works/groups of works; organized 2 creative camps outside the province for 30 members with 115 works/groups of works accepted; organized 7 creative field trips for 156 members.
However, the Term Summary Report also frankly pointed out the shortcomings and limitations, including the fact that there are not many literary and artistic works of top quality, vividly reflecting the renovation process in Nghe An and the whole country, attracting wide public attention...
Regarding the direction for the 2023 - 2028 term, the Congress determined: Promoting the positive social role and function of literature - art and the team of artists; closely attached to the people's lives, accompanying the innovation of the homeland and country; gathering all talents and enthusiasm, improving the quality and efficiency of creativity, bringing the province's literature and art to a new height...
Strive to have many works of high ideological and artistic value, with lasting vitality; contribute to building and developing Vietnamese culture and people, people with Nghe An identity, harmoniously combining traditional and modern values, contributing worthily to the task of building and defending the Fatherland.
Promote the creativity of artists
Speaking at the Congress, Associate Professor, Doctor, musician Do Hong Quan - President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations acknowledged the achievements of the Nghe An Union of Literature and Arts Associations. At the same time, he requested members to constantly innovate their thinking, promote creativity to have more valuable works, serving the development of the homeland and the country...
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee noted that artists need to practice political qualities, closely follow the reality of life to create works imbued with the breath of life, truly reflecting the lives of the people.
The Nghe An Literature and Arts Association needs to do better in propaganda and ideological education; strongly innovate its methods of operation, encourage artists to develop their creative flame; raise awareness and responsibility of artists in protecting the Party's ideological foundation and social criticism...
On this occasion, the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations presented the Emulation Flag to the Nghe An Literature and Arts Association and 1 individual with outstanding achievements. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented the Congress with a banner with the words: "Nghe An Literature and Arts Association: Solidarity - Creativity - Identity - Integration" and awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 groups and 4 individuals.
At the Congress, delegates voted to elect the Executive Committee of the Nghe An Literature and Arts Association for the 2023-2028 term.
