On the afternoon of June 11, Lang Chanh District People's Committee organized the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Lang Chanh District in 2024.

Attending the congress were comrade Dao Xuan Yen, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; representatives of leaders, departments and professional offices of Lang Chanh district; communes, towns and 88 delegates representing more than 47,000 ethnic minorities in the district.

Over the past 5 years, from resources of national target programs, realizing the policies of the Party and the State, the rural appearance of ethnic minority areas in Lang Chanh district has increasingly improved, people's lives have stabilized and developed. Traffic works, schools, irrigation, community cultural houses, clean water works have been put into use to meet the production and cultural needs of the people. The model of supporting production development, supporting plants and breeds has been effective, helping people have more income.

The total capital for implementing production support projects and diversifying livelihoods from national target programs in 2022 and 2023 is 13,002 billion VND. Accordingly, many production support models have been effectively implemented such as breeding cows, pigs, hill chickens, native ducks, etc. Target program models for the period 2021-2025 have also been implemented to create livelihoods, solve jobs, increase income, and sustainably reduce poverty among ethnic minorities.

In addition, the district pays attention to the preservation and development of ethnic minority culture through specific activities such as: Researching, collecting, preserving, promoting the values ​​of folk culture, customs, festivals, and traditional crafts in ethnic minorities. Many unique cultural features of ethnic minorities have been restored and promoted, such as: Cha Mun Festival of the Thai people in Yen Thang commune; Khap singing melodies of the Thai people, gong beating, and drumming... Sports and folk games such as tug of war, stick pushing, crossbow shooting, and ball throwing have been restored and promoted, contributing to improving the spiritual life of ethnic minorities.

With the spirit of "Ethnic solidarity, innovation, promoting advantages and potentials, integration and sustainable development", at the congress, delegates contributed many enthusiastic and responsible opinions, proposing solutions to strengthen the great solidarity of ethnic groups; develop socio-economy, ensure national defense and security associated with preserving cultural identity... contributing to improving the quality of ethnic work in the period of 2024-2029.

The Congress elected a delegation to attend the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Thanh Hoa Province in 2024, approving the Congress Resolution Letter.
