The war is long gone, but the painful losses are still there. And the memories of comrades and teammates who fought and died together are still intact in the minds of the soldiers of the past.

Today, together with the whole country, Tanh Linh district solemnly organized a ceremony to visit the district's martyrs' cemetery to commemorate the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023). Today's delegation included the Veterans who had fought in Tanh Linh district, belonging to the 12.7mm Company, Battalion 130, Regiment 182, Military Region VI. The veterans are old, most of them are over 70 years old, and their health is also poor, but the veterans still arrange time to return to the places where they fought, to return to their old comrades. Each person has their own stories, feelings, and emotions about their comrades, but they all share the joy and emotion of returning to the old battlefield.

Mr. Do Quang Trung, former Platoon Leader of Company 12.7 mm, Battalion 130, Regiment 182, Military Region VI, could not hide his joy because after the liberation, this was the first time in nearly 50 years that he had returned to Tanh Linh. He was clearly excited about the changes and development of his hometown Tanh Linh. He witnessed the special attention of the leaders of Tanh Linh district to the work of "repaying gratitude", "remembering the source of water when drinking". And the martyrs' cemetery of the district was newly built in a high, beautiful, spacious and cozy location. He was grateful for the warm and enthusiastic welcome of the cadres and people of the district. However, what moved him was being able to return to his comrades to light incense in memory on the occasion of July 27. What Mr. Trung was concerned about was that besides the comrades who had been searched for and gathered at the martyrs' cemetery, there were still many comrades still lying somewhere in the motherland, not yet gathered with their comrades. As the war recedes, the search conditions will become more difficult, but he hopes that the locality will continue to pay more attention to the search for martyrs' graves, bringing comrades and teammates to their resting place in a complete manner.
