Highlights of the art program 'Sacred Fatherland'

On the evening of September 2, at Nguyen Hue walking street (District 1), the Organizing Committee for the celebration of major holidays in Ho Chi Minh City held a special art program with the theme "Sacred Fatherland".

This is an event to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2024) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024).

The art program “Thieng Linh To Quoc” is an epic about love for the homeland, recreating the proud journey of the nation when the country was reunited. Although the years have passed, the spirit of the Declaration of Independence still lives forever in the hearts of generations of Vietnamese people, not only because of its historical and legal value but also because of its noble humanistic value of human rights, the right of the nation to live in independence and freedom as President Ho Chi Minh cherished and devoted his whole life to realizing.

With a structure of 3 chapters "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom", "Uncle Ho's words echo in all directions" and "The city named after him is radiant", the program brings the audience to a colorful artistic space of songs that have gone through the years, praising the glorious Party, beloved Uncle Ho, expressing affection for the homeland and country such as "Footsteps on the Truong Son mountain range", "Forward, compatriot soldiers", "Uncle Ho's advice before leaving", "Song of unification, marching to Saigon", "A lap of Vietnam", "I love this city", "Returning to the origin"...

Each performance is carefully staged, combining music and dance with modern lighting and technical effects, with the participation of artists such as People's Artist Ta Minh Tam, People's Artist Que Tran, Meritorious Artist Pham The Vy, singers Dan Truong, Phuong Thanh, Hien Thuc, Trung Quang... After the program, there will be an artistic fireworks display and an exchange and performance by singers Dan Truong, Phuong Thanh, Thanh Ngoc...
