Dalat has fresh mountain air and cool pine forests. In an article last year, the American newspaper CNN said that this Central Highlands city is extremely famous with domestic tourists but is not much noticed by foreign tourists. At an altitude of 1,500m above sea level, cool weather is Dalat's strength. Compared to other destinations in the Southeast Asian region, Dalat has a great competitive advantage in terms of climate.

However, according to many tourists, the competitive advantage of cool climate in the tropical country of Dalat has gradually disappeared. In recent times, Dalat's weather has become hotter, most hotels have used air conditioning compared to 10 years ago when air conditioning was rarely used.

Cu Hill, covering an area of over 62 hectares, is one of the few remaining green areas in the center of Da Lat. In February 2023, Hoang Gia DL Joint Stock Company proposed the idea of investing in a number of items in Cu Hill Golf Course. Specifically, building 2 basements for parking (7 floors/1 basement) combined with a commercial center and building a number of other service facilities at this golf course to solve the shortage of parking spaces, especially in the center of Da Lat. Currently, in the Cu Hill Golf Course area, Hoang Gia DL Company is implementing the construction of a golf club building.

Last year, Lam Dong province requested clarification of the annual reduction rate of greenhouse area in Da Lat city and by 2030, the goal is that the inner city area will have no greenhouses.
The current greenhouse area of Da Lat city is 2,693 hectares, accounting for about 59% of the whole province.
In Da Lat, greenhouses are built by people right in the inner city (wards 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12). Ward 12 alone has a dense greenhouse density of 83.7% of the cultivated area, while wards 5, 7, and 8 have over 60%.
The high rate of greenhouse construction per unit of cultivated land area, lack of green areas and roads in production areas in Lam Dong is said to have affected the landscape, environment, and tourism development, especially in Da Lat city.
