On September 23, information from the Thach Kim Commune Police (Loc Ha District, Ha Tinh) said that the police force of this commune had just coordinated with border guards and local people to successfully rescue two people in distress at sea.
Accordingly, at around 6:00 p.m. on September 22, Thach Kim Commune Police received information that a boat had been sunk by waves in the area north of Eo Lo Cape (belonging to Nam Gioi Mountain) in the sea of Thach Kim Commune, about 1km from the coast.
Immediately afterwards, Thach Kim Commune Police and Cua Sot Border Station (under Cua Sot Border Station) requisitioned a fisherman's fishing boat to send forces out to sea for rescue.
The boat had an accident at night, heavy rain, big waves so rescue was difficult.
At around 6:30 p.m. the same day, the rescue team reached the area where the boat had an accident and successfully rescued two people, Tran Cong Chinh (37 years old) and Tran Van Hanh (34 years old).
It is known that on the morning of the same day, Mr. Chinh and Mr. Hanh went by road to Nghi Xuan district to buy a fishing boat. After the transaction was successful, they went back by sea but encountered bad weather which caused the boat to sink.
The two victims are currently in good health. The sunken boat cannot be salvaged due to bad weather and big waves.
