President Putin's interview causes a stir on social networks

As of the morning of February 10, the video interview between American journalist Tucker Carlson and Russian President Vladimir Putin had received 162 million views and 892,000 likes on social network X.

The video has been reposted 278,000 times. It has previously been viewed more than 90.1 million times in the 12 hours since it was posted on the social network. The number of posts on social network X mentioning the Russian leader has exceeded 1.4 million.

Meanwhile, the number of views of the interview on Carlson's YouTube channel has exceeded 9.1 million. According to Brand Analytics monitoring data, the names of President Putin and Carlson have entered the top group of mentions on social network X.

Carlson's interview with President Putin lasted 2 hours and 6 minutes. During that time, the Russian leader answered about 60 questions, revolving around many hot issues of the world as well as the conflict in Ukraine.

President Putin said Russia supports a negotiated solution to the crisis in Ukraine, while asserting that whether to accept it or not is up to Kiev and its Western partners.

This is the first time Western media have been able to have private contact with Russian President Putin since 2019.
