TPO - For the first time, the Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo (ITE HCMC) 2024 is directly promoted in the Marketplace Asean program of the world's leading television channel CNN.

In particular, the first participation of the world's leading television channel CNN has marked a milestone for the cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and CNN in the coming time.
Previously, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, received Ms. Erin Williams, Asia-Pacific Business Director (of CNN TV channel) to discuss cooperation prospects between Ho Chi Minh City and CNN in the coming years.
Mr. Nguyen Van Dung highly appreciated the cooperation results between CNN and Ho Chi Minh City in communication programs to promote tourism for the city on CNN's media platforms, introducing international tourists to the tourism potential, contributing to achieving many positive results of Ho Chi Minh City's tourism industry in recent times.
The leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee hope that in the coming time, the two sides will continue to cooperate.

Talking to Mr. Dung, Ms. Erin Williams said that CNN is a good TV channel for content, especially tourism promotion. CNN's digital platforms have a coverage of several hundred million viewers/month. Vietnam is a potential tourism market on CNN. In particular, CNN and Ho Chi Minh City have cooperated and achieved many important results in promoting and introducing the image of Ho Chi Minh City to the international community.
According to Ms. Erin Williams, CNN wishes to continue to promote cooperation in areas of interest to the city, focusing on tourism. Based on the existing platforms and cooperation results, CNN is ready to coordinate with Ho Chi Minh City to launch tourism promotion campaigns targeting high-end tourists who are able to stay and spend more.

During the 3 days, ITE HCMC 2024 recorded approximately 26,000 visitors, successfully promoting more than 11,460 B2B trade appointments between 220 international buyers and over 450 exhibitors, facilitating networking, negotiating and signing future cooperation agreements.
