The Sepak Takraw World Cup 2025 (ISTAF World Cup 2025) taking place in India from March 20 to 25 attracts 20 teams from many countries and territories around the world to compete. In particular, the Southeast Asian region has participating teams including Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Singapore, Philippines, Cambodia, Brunei, Malaysia, Indonesia.

The Vietnamese Sepak Takraw team had an impressive competition, bringing home a total of four medals: one Gold Medal, two Silver Medals and one Bronze Medal.

To congratulate the excellent achievements of the competing teams, the Vietnam Sepak Takraw Federation in collaboration with the Vietnam Law Newspaper - the media sponsor of the Sepak Takraw Federation, held a ceremony to honor the Vietnamese Sepak Takraw athletes.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the Vietnam Sepak Takraw Federation, Dr. Le Hong Tinh - President of the Federation acknowledged the efforts of the coaches and athletes to achieve remarkable achievements in the Sepak Takraw World Cup 2025 (ISTAF World Cup 2025). 'Thank you to the athletes who competed very well to achieve high results, thank you to the coaches of the two teams who spent time accompanying the federation, training the athletes in the past time. In the coming time, I hope the athletes will try their best to practice to achieve even higher achievements." Dr. Le Hong Tinh said.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Vu Hoai Nam, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Law Newspaper, said that in 2024, Vietnamese Sepak Takraw had achieved many successes. In 2025, Vietnamese Sepak Takraw also had a very good start at the Sepak Takraw World Cup. I hope that the athletes will continue to promote, maintain their form and achieve more achievements.

Editor-in-Chief Vu Hoai Nam also expressed his understanding and sympathy when Vietnam's Sepak Takraw sport has not received as much attention as other sports, and athletes are practicing in extremely difficult and deprived conditions.

"However, the athletes and coaches have tried very hard to achieve very proud results, for the sake of the Vietnamese flag," he said.

The Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Law Newspaper also said that from 2023 to now, people's interest in Sepak Takraw has also gradually increased. He said that in the coming time, Vietnam Law Newspaper will continue to accompany the Federation, try to do a good job of communication, bring beautiful images of the Vietnam Sepak Takraw team to the newspaper's platforms, to attract readers' attention, thereby hoping to mobilize more resources to support the team, making the Vietnam Sepak Takraw team stronger and stronger, going further in the international arena.

At today's event, to congratulate the federation and athletes, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Law Newspaper, Director of Ha Trong Dai Law Firm and a number of individuals presented many gifts to encourage coaches and athletes with high achievements in the 2025 Sepak Takraw World Cup (ISTAF World Cup 2025).

The Gold Medal winning team was awarded 10 million, the 2 Silver Medal winning teams were each awarded 5 million; 3 million was the reward for the Bronze Medal winning team, along with many other gifts, with a total value of about 50 million VND.

Previously, as reported by Phap Luat Viet Nam newspaper, at the 2025 Sepak Takraw World Cup (ISTAF World Cup 2025), in the final match that took place on the evening of March 21, the Vietnamese women's Sepak Takraw team won a thrilling 15-13 victory, officially stepping onto the highest podium and bringing home the first Gold Medal for the team at this year's tournament.

In the 4-Men's Team event, the Vietnamese Sepak Takraw men's team had a journey full of effort when they continuously overcame strong opponents to advance to the final. Facing the host team India in a tense match, the Vietnamese Sepak Takraw men's team excellently won the Silver Medal.

Although they could not win the championship, what the team showed showed brave fighting spirit and dedication.

In the Women's Team 3 event, in the semi-finals, the Vietnamese team faced India and showed impressive performance.

In addition, the Vietnamese team also won a Bronze Medal in the 4-person mixed team event, completing a successful World Cup with a total of four medals.
