For the first time after 55 years of preserving and promoting the heritage value left by President Ho Chi Minh, the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace is honored to have an artifact recognized as a National Treasure.

The Zit (ZIS) car, registration number HN 481, measures 5m92 long; 1m82 wide; 1m75 high; weighs 4280kg; black. The car was given to President Ho Chi Minh by the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in 1954. During the time President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked at the Presidential Palace, this car was used on special occasions such as when receiving international delegations and heads of state who needed to ensure absolute safety.

During the American imperialists' war of destruction in the North in 1964-1965, the car was on permanent air defense duty serving President Ho Chi Minh. The total number of kilometers the car had traveled was 15,788km.

The second car is a Pobeda car, registration number HN 158. Car dimensions: 4m45 long; 1m44 wide; 1m64 high; weight: 1900kg; gray color.

The car was given to the Vietnamese Government by the Soviet Government in 1955 and served President Ho Chi Minh from March 1957 until the end of August 1969. The Pobeda car was used most often by President Ho Chi Minh during his time living and working at the Presidential Palace. This type of car has a high chassis suitable for long-distance travel, so it was often used by him for trips to visit localities far from Hanoi. The total number of kilometers the car has traveled is 39,436km.

Peugeot 404 car, registration number HNC 232, was used to serve President Ho Chi Minh from 1964 to 1969.

The third is a Peugeot 404 car, registration number HNC 232. The car is 4.25m long; 1.40m wide; 1.40m high and weighs 2,300kg, silver color.

The car was brought back by overseas Vietnamese living in New Caledonia and Vanuatu (formerly known as the archipelagos in Oceania) as a gift to the Government and President Ho Chi Minh on the 11th ship Castern Queen, arriving in Hai Phong on March 8, 1964. The car was used to serve President Ho Chi Minh from 1964 to 1969. In 1967, when President Ho Chi Minh's health was not good, he often drove a Peugeot 404 because the low chassis made it easier for him to get in and out of the car. The total kilometers the car traveled was 16,575km.

The three cars are currently preserved and displayed at the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace./.
