Promote potential tourist destinations

Hich Hill has great potential to become an attractive tourist destination in Thanh Hoa.

Located in the middle of the poetic midland of Thach Lap commune (Ngoc Lac) and Cam Lien (Cam Thuy), Hich hill is a new name, attracting the attention of tourists who love backpacking tourism. This destination is likened by tourists to a green steppe, with wild natural scenery and suitable for picnics. Although only about 10km from the center of Ngoc Lac district, Hich hill offers a peaceful space, completely separate from the hustle and bustle of the city. Not only valuable in terms of landscape, this destination also contains unique cultural features of the mountainous land of Thanh, where the Muong community has lived for generations, with many unique traditional customs and practices.

In recent years, Hich Hill has gradually attracted small groups of tourists and some investors to visit and survey. According to the assessment, the landscape of Hich Hill is very suitable for developing resort tourism, camping and cultural experiences. In addition, the fresh climate here is an ideal condition for developing community tourism combined with ecological agriculture. The lush green forests can become an ideal trekking spot combined with growing fruit trees or medicinal herbs to serve visitors and experiencers.

Mr. Do Duc Manh (Eco Travel Go Green Vietnam Tourism Company, Hanoi) said: “We have organized several surveys at Hich Hill. Although it has a lot of potential, this place is still a fairly new name on the Thanh Hoa tourism map and there is currently not much information and images about this destination on social networking platforms. Through the survey, we found that the current destination mainly welcomes free visitors during the day or camping, glamping, tourism services are almost undeveloped. If there is an investment opportunity, we really want to develop Hich Hill in a completely new direction compared to other community ecotourism destinations in the province. In which, we focus on developing products and experiences associated with the culture of the Muong people and accommodation spaces and services suitable for the natural landscape here”.

Along with Hich hill, "Tien Hoa ancient village" (Ha Linh town, Ha Trung) is a destination that many tourism experts assess as having great potential to become an attractive tourist destination. According to the "Ha Trung district tourism development project to 2030", this destination is oriented to be in the key tourist cluster of the district. Nestled along the Bong Khe river, Tien Hoa village is designed in the shape of a comb, embracing the hillside. Each alley in the village begins with a "unique" road up the slope of the hill and mountain, creating a unique and attractive architecture. Up to now, Tien Hoa village still retains many ancient architectural features, with tiled-roof houses, hundreds of years old communal houses and walls built of baked bricks and moss-covered stones.

With a favorable geographical location, located near the intersection of the North-South Expressway, Tien Hoa village has begun to attract a number of tourists and expert groups to visit and survey recently. Through the survey, community tourism expert Duong Minh Binh, Chairman of the Board of Members of CBT Travel Company, said: “Tien Hoa ancient village can absolutely develop into an attractive destination, with its own characteristics of the Northern countryside. However, promoting the image and attracting investment is extremely necessary. Tourism businesses and investors can consider developing experiential tours, exploring culture and history in Tien Hoa, combined with preserving and embellishing ancient relics and architecture. On the part of the local government, it is necessary to promote the organization and extensive promotion of traditional festivals and cultural events in Tien Hoa to attract tourists, creating a highlight for local tourism. In the midst of an ancient space, combined with activities such as folk art performances, craft village fairs, experiencing rural life... will bring visitors unique and unforgettable experiences”.

Not only stopping at a few potential destinations, likened to "Vietnam in miniature", Thanh Hoa tourism still has many destinations waiting to be exploited to become attractive tourist destinations, if invested appropriately. In particular, innovating tourism promotion strategies, along with promoting planning, infrastructure investment, and tourism product development orientation... are extremely necessary, contributing to promoting the effective exploitation of existing potential and strengths to strongly spread the message "Thanh Hoa Tourism - Four Seasons of Fragrance".
