Footballer Cao Pendant Quang Vinh officially becomes Vietnamese citizen

This morning (March 28), at the headquarters of the Hanoi Department of Justice, a ceremony was held to hand over the President's decision to grant Vietnamese citizenship to football player Cao Pendant Quang Vinh.

The representative of the Hanoi Department of Justice presided over the ceremony, Mr. La Hoang Hung read the decision of the President to grant Vietnamese citizenship to player Cao Pendant Quang Vinh, congratulated the player of the Hanoi Police Club on officially becoming a Vietnamese citizen, and hoped that Quang Vinh would make many contributions to Vietnamese football.

Player Cao Pendant Quang Vinh expressed: “Today is a special day in my life – the day I officially became a Vietnamese citizen. My heart is filled with happiness and pride. I was born in France, but the Vietnamese blood in me always urges me to contribute to the country's football.”

On this occasion, Quang Vinh expressed his gratitude to the President, VFF, Department of Justice and Hanoi Police for trusting and supporting him in completing the naturalization procedures. “This is not only an honor but also a promise and responsibility. I will use all my talent and enthusiasm to contribute to the national flag, so that every goal and every pass shows national pride,” Quang Vinh affirmed.

VFF General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu congratulated Cao Pendant Quang Vinh and expressed his belief that he will continue to promote his talent and contribute to the Hanoi Police Club and Vietnamese football in the future.

Secretary General Nguyen Van Phu shared: “I saw the happy faces of Quang Vinh and his family through the recent oaths. I would like to sincerely thank and wish good health to the French Ambassador and France for raising Quang Vinh so that today he can return to contribute to the Fatherland.

The road ahead is wide open with Quang Vinh's talent. Congratulations to Hanoi Police Club for having another Vietnamese player in the squad. In the coming time, VFF will continue to monitor Quang Vinh's performance and development and believe that Quang Vinh will make many contributions to the country's football."

The representative of the home club, Major Nguyen Manh Cuong - Executive Director of Hanoi Police Club, also expressed his joy when Cao Pendant Quang Vinh officially joined the club as a Vietnamese player, thereby contributing to increasing the strength of the team in the coming period, first of all, the away trip to PSM Makassar Club (Indonesia) in the first leg of the semi-final of the Southeast Asian Club Championship - Shopee Cup 2024/25, taking place on April 2.
