Phu Yen invites people from all over the country to attend the 50th anniversary of the province's liberation

The organizing committee of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Phu Yen province (April 1, 1975 - April 1, 2025) has just announced an invitation for people inside and outside the province to attend the celebration at 8:00 p.m. on April 1, at April 1 Square, Tuy Hoa City.

The program has the theme "Heroic Phu Yen - Bright Future" to review the tradition and development aspirations of Phu Yen province, with the participation of nearly 400 professional and non-professional actors from Phu Yen, Hai Duong and Chungbuk province (Korea).

The program will recreate important historical milestones on an outdoor stage at 1.4 Square, expected to attract 10,000 spectators.

The program consists of 3 parts: "Homeland, the dawn calls" expressing the aspiration to rise up; "Pride and heroic song" recreating the heroic tradition of Phu Yen's army and people; "Phu Yen - Aspiration to rise up" depicting the changes of the province after 50 years of liberation.

At the celebration, historical images and literary works associated with the resistance war will be recreated, combined with a 15-minute fireworks display, creating an impressive highlight for the program.

The outdoor stage at 1.4 Square (Tuy Hoa City) is being prepared.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Phu Yen province also organized a meeting with cadres who participated in the resistance war before April 1, 1975. The Provincial Military Command organized a meeting with delegations of veterans from the country to visit old battlefields and visit historical sites and memorials in the province, and visit the Vung Ro National Historical Site (Dong Hoa Town).

In addition, Phu Yen province also organized other activities such as exhibition of Phu Yen's socio-economic achievements and introduction of typical products, cuisine, and tourism of provinces and cities from March 30 to April 3 at 1.4 Square; groundbreaking, inauguration, and installation of signs for some typical projects; organizing the Phu Yen Provincial Open Cross-Country Race in 2025.

In addition to the main activities, from March 29 to April 7, Phu Yen province also organized a number of response activities, such as: displaying an exhibition introducing books, newspapers, and pictures with the theme "Phu Yen - Heroic historical pages", with about 1,000 documents, including content about the country and people of Phu Yen; displaying 100 works of bonsai, ornamental rocks, driftwood... at the Provincial Museum; performing mass art, traditional art (music, folk songs, bai choi, cai luong, tuong).

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Phu Yen province organized the announcement of the Prime Minister's decision to recognize the Kala Nui Ba relief as a national treasure.
