The Quang Da Bridge project is invested by the Management Board of Investment and Construction of Transport and Agricultural Works in Da Nang, with a total investment of more than 274 billion VND. According to him, during the resistance war, the road connecting Hoa Khuong commune (Da Nang) and Dien Tien commune (Quang Nam) was a vital route for our army and people. This area was the cradle of the revolution, suffering many losses and sacrifices. “Today, we have a new bridge connecting the two banks of the river, connecting transportation, serving the travel needs of the people of the two localities. This is also a project to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang city,” he said.

The total length of the approach road and bridge is more than 1.4km, of which the bridge is 204m long. The bridge is 22m wide, with a road surface of 7m on each side.

People flocked to the bridge to watch the first convoys of vehicles traveling on the bridge connecting the two banks of Quang Nam and Da Nang.

Mr. Tran Van Bay (50 years old, Hoa Khuong commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city) took his 88-year-old mother to the bridge early so that she could watch the cars crossing the bridge. He shared that not only his mother, but all the people on both sides of the river, especially the elderly, were looking forward to this day.

Mr. Bay added that he was born in 1975, a historic moment in the country's history. The bridge was also opened to traffic to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang, so he was very moved. "I hope that the bridge will not only facilitate travel but also promote economic and social development, and strengthen solidarity between the two localities," he said.

The bridge starts at the intersection with National Highway 14B in Hoa Khuong Commune, Hoa Vang District. The end point connects with the Northern Belt Road project of Quang Nam Province in Dien Tien Commune, Dien Ban Town. The completion of the Quang Da Bridge project will help facilitate traffic connection between Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province, gradually completing the regional traffic network, promoting local socio-economic development.

Da Nang City leaders asked functional units to focus on maintenance to ensure the safety and long-term sustainability of the bridge. In addition, carry out the remaining auxiliary items.
