Looking at cakes such as: banh bo, banh chuoi, banh tet, banh la mo, banh duc or banh bot loc, banh da lon, banh khot, banh xeo..., customers just want to enjoy them right away.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Le, Director of Can Tho City Tourism Development Center, said that in addition to 118 traditional cake booths, there are also nearly 100 booths displaying regional specialties and culinary spaces with the participation of 18 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region and the Central and Central Highlands provinces such as Ha Tinh, Hue, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, and Dak Lak.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee, one of the notable new points at this year's Southern Traditional Cake Festival is that the organizing committee will reduce 25% of the rental fee for artisans (from 8 million VND/booth to 6 million VND/booth) to create conditions for artisans participating in the festival to be more creative, bringing more interesting things.
The festival takes place from April 4 to 8, falling on the weekend and Hung King's death anniversary, so people from everywhere flock here.
Many types of cakes have very eye-catching colors
Ms. Le Thanh Thuy (living in Vinh Long province) excitedly said: "The festival falls on the weekend, so I brought my two children here to enjoy the cakes and record a clip to post on social networks. Nowadays, children are only used to eating pizza, fried chicken... so I want to bring my children here so they can understand and learn more about the flavors of the country cakes."
