Continuing the success of 2022, a special art program to show gratitude to parents during Vu Lan season with the theme "Grace of birth 2023" took place on the evening of August 24 at the Vietnam - Soviet Union Friendship Cultural Palace (No. 91 Tran Hung Dao, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi).
“Grateful for the birth of our nation” is a meaningful activity for Vietnamese people, especially young people, in the journey of preserving and promoting the thousand-year-old traditional cultural values of the nation.
Tuoi Tre Thu Do Newspaper in collaboration with Oscar Media Company organized a press conference.
That is filial piety, respect for family ethics, respect for elders and children, and boundless gratitude to parents - the ones who gave us our bodies, taught us to be good people, and watched over, loved, and protected us throughout our lives. That gratitude, when reminded and "activated" through art such as "The Grace of Birth", will move the heart, forcing each person to express it through practical, widespread actions, so that the whole society can live in love and tolerance.
This also continues to affirm the program series "Grateful for Parents" as the "brand" of Tuoi Tre Thu Do Newspaper and Oscar Media in the journey of multiplying good things, accompanying the cultural development of Hanoi and the country.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Thu Do Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee spoke at the press conference.
With a large scale of organization and elaborate staging, along with the participation of famous artists, "The Grace of Birth 2023" will create a profound and emotional art program, praising the merits of parents, contributing to preserving humane values in the tradition of Vietnamese people: "When drinking water, remember the source", "When eating fruit, remember the person who planted the tree"; Reminding children of their duty to do filial deeds to express their love and gratitude for the merits of birth and upbringing of their parents.

The program consists of 3 chapters. Chapter 1 will take the audience to the space of "Filial Piety Season" with the emotional and engaging voice of Meritorious Artist Le Chuc. The opening scene expresses the spirit of the program. Vu Lan is an occasion to remember the merits of parents and ancestors, reminding children of their duty to do filial deeds to express their feelings and gratitude. Nowadays, Vu Lan is not only a Buddhist ritual but has become a beautiful traditional cultural feature of the Vietnamese people.
Introducing the reports made by Tuoi Tre Thu Do Newspaper in its July "Repaying Gratitude" journey shows the tireless, persistent and extremely meaningful social activities that the Newspaper has carried out with all its heart and soul.
Chapter 2 will include songs and touching stories praising the nurturing grace of parents, filial acts to express love and gratitude such as: Mother's love, Father is old, right?, Mother's folk song, Mother loves her child, Father and child, Mother's dream, Father is there...
Reporters asked questions at the meeting.
Chapter 3 conveys the message: Parents are the ones who give us life, teach us the first steps in life and are also the ones who are ready to welcome us when we stumble, are injured and do not have enough strength to walk. After all, no matter how stormy things are out there, when we return home, there are still people who are ready to embrace, protect, and forgive us unconditionally. That is family, the place where we cannot leave each other, and always find each other in all adversities. This chapter will have the following sections: Mother's Debtor, Mother's Diary, Calling Mother and Father, Gratitude for Birth...
In particular, the skit “Bao filial piety” performed by the actors of the Youth Theater deals with the highly condemnable situation in society, which is the shirking of responsibility for supporting parents. This issue has never been old and is always painful in society. Through this skit, the program producers want to sound the alarm about morality and family affection so that each viewer will draw their own lessons.
Each musical story is a heartfelt voice that touches the heart of each person. This is the moment for loved ones to sit together, listen to the lyrics and music to feel the family atmosphere or for children from all over the world to send their longing for their elderly parents in their beloved homeland.
Leaders of Hanoi Youth Union and leaders of the Press Department (Ministry of Information and Communications) presented gifts to thank the program's organizers.
In particular, at the program, the Organizing Committee will present gifts to 20 typical "Filial Children" with difficult circumstances who know how to rise up in life.
Sharing about the program, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Thu Do Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee said: "Parents are an eternal theme in poetry as well as in music, because no matter who you are, where you were born, you cannot help but remember your roots. No matter how old we are, when we return to our mothers and fathers, we become little children again."
