The art program "Vietnamese Birds" is held on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and is an important music event of the Vietnam Musicians Association in 2023, to honor the great values ​​and outstanding creations and contributions of musician Van Cao to the music industry in particular and the country's art and culture in general, through his immortal works of art.

The program opened with a short video depicting the portrait of Van Cao - an artist in three fields: Music, painting and poetry. Regarding music, musician Van Cao was successful in all three genres: lyrical music, epic music and revolutionary music. Van Cao's composing talent, as well as his artistic achievements, especially the song "Tien Quan Ca" - the National Anthem of Vietnam, have enriched the national art treasure.

After a short film about Van Cao's life and career, the audience enjoyed elaborate and impressive performances with Van Cao's immortal compositions. These were "Dan chim Viet", performed by Tung Duong, Dao To Loan, Khanh Ngoc, Trang Bui, Sen Hoang My Lam; "Thien Thai" performed by artist Thanh Lam; "Cung zither of the past" performed by singers Vu Thang Loi - Lan Anh. In addition, the songs "Suoi mo" (artist My Linh), "Buon tan thu" (Anh Tuyet - Ha Tran), "Truong Chi" (Tung Duong) performed brought the audience many special emotions about the lyrical musical works of musician Van Cao.

The songs “Praise to President Ho” performed by People's Artist Quang Tho, People's Artist Quoc Hung; the song “Bac Son” performed by Meritorious Artist Dang Duong and a choir; “The Lo River Epic” performed by artists Dao Mac - Khanh Ngoc; “The First Spring” performed by a female group…

In particular, the show brought the audience a particularly impressive experience when the performance of the songs “Marching to Hanoi” and “Marching Song” was performed by hundreds of artists both inside and outside the Hanoi Opera House - August Revolution Square. The moment the August Revolution Square lit up, the red flags with yellow stars were lowered from above the Opera House, along with the appearance of hundreds of artists of the military band, artists playing the roles of soldiers, and the masses, brought impressive and unforgettable emotions to the audience. And when the lyrics of “Marching to Hanoi” and “Marching Song” - the majestic National Anthem of Vietnam resounded, the audience seemed to return to the boiling atmosphere of the days of the uprising to seize power 78 years ago, in August 1945...

The performance “Ben Xuan – Vietnamese Birds” by famous artists: People’s Artist Quang Tho, People’s Artist Quoc Hung, Meritorious Artist Thanh Lam, Lan Anh, Thang Loi, Tung Duong, Dao To Loan… with the symphony orchestra and the participation of hundreds of actors closed the impressive art night, paying tribute to musician Van Cao – the author of the Vietnamese National Anthem.

The art night “Dan chim Viet” has ended, but the echoes and emotional sublimation along with the masterpieces of musician Van Cao will forever remain in the hearts of the public. Going beyond a normal art program, the music night is an art event for fans and people to remember the portrait of a talented artist in many fields of literature and art, a man with all his talents who has engraved his name in the history of Vietnamese music. Van Cao’s composing talent, as well as his artistic achievements, especially the song “Tien quan ca” - the National Anthem of Vietnam, has enriched the treasure of Vietnamese national art.
